Really thought that we were going to push on after that. We murdered Bolton it could have been 8 or 9. We hammered the Arse and did all but score against wigwam. We were playing really good attacking footie. He spent loads of dosh at the start on the next season on Crouchies palacios and ketone and for some unknown reason we took a backward step. And that sounded the death knoll for TP

Or broken his leg and never played again? Too far? So you're 16 now approx? Great to see you haven't grown up one bit you daft twat. He had a great game against Bolton in that Semi, bet you weren't slating him on the day were you? Yes he is 16, but mature enough to apologise, so maybe we should forgive him now Lets not forget that Pennant had a fantastic game too, in that semi, and also the only player who turned up for the final. Yet he was castagted by just about everyone on here after his moment of madness - football fans are fickle and at times us Stokies lead the pack.

Just noticed on the oatcake twitter timeline it was 14 years ago 2 days back since this
Time flies.
I wouldn't have remembered Mohan as the guy who lifted the shield if I had 10 guesses.
My main memory from the match was Scott Murray giving Clive Clarke a real going over.

Scott Murray was a player I would of loved at Stoke momo That day is more entrenched in my memory than the FA cup final ......38k of us and Bristol City in a match at a soon to be demolished Wembley Only the FA cup final followed it ( Chelsea v Villa I think ? )

Think it was beaten a couple of times in the 80s mate when the capacity was bigger. Wolves or Birmingham hold the record I think.

Unbelievable day, we should all remember how good pennant, tetherington, Walters and kj were that season I still have no idea why Tone felt the need to get Crouchy when Jones was having a very good season..Turned out to be the ruin of Jones that deal did Up until a few weeks prior to the Semi-final, Jones had been on goal drought if my memory serves me right... Just checked - he'd only scored two goals from the middle of November in the league until the Semi-final, one being the game before the Bolton match. That was one of the reasons Crouch was brought in imo.

God. 3 years. It seems like it was last week. Probably the most perfect day of my life. Beautiful weather, fantastic atmosphere and 40,000 smiling Stokies.
