Loved every minute of it. I remember, I flew back from Spain, by myself as a 13 year old, to get there. It was worth it!

only way that day could have been better would be if Wilko had bagged the fiifth instead of falling over!! Or broken his leg and never played again? Too far? erm yes, i should day so. Funny how football fans these days want loyalty from their players but as soon as the player is deemed not to be good enough then they can be cast aside without a thought and all manner of unwarranted abuse heaped upon them. Wilko may be limited but he's rarely let us down when given a run in the team even at a level that most would agree is a big ask for him. During our time in the top flight he's marked a number of the premier leagues highly rated wingers out of the game and consistently stuck his head in where others wouldn't put their feet. so yeh, you're damn right i'd say it was too far.

Or broken his leg and never played again? Too far? Prick. Never meant it to be terribly offensive, I admire Wilko for his commitment and for absolutely crogging Ronaldo

This isn't a Wilko thread, so I won't go on forever about this, but what a fucking nightmare task he was asked to perform at Chelsea?! Hardly played all season and then thrown to the lions. It was a piss poor challenge he put in, and as a defender he definitely, definitely shoulda known better, but as others have said, we've witnessed Wilko keep quiet some very good wingers since we've been promoted, so what happened at Chelsea was out of character in many respects. If Wilko wasn't so injury prone, I think he coulda had a much more consistent career for us, sadly he just can't be relied on in that respect. The times he's let us down when called upon aren't even worth counting.

I'm 18 now, born and live near Derby and my dad is a United fan. So I guess you could call me a 'glory' fan but to be honest I wouldn't be a football fan at all if it wasn't for Stoke. I got taken to some United and Derby games as a kid but showed little interest to be honest, but my dad worked at Britannia and so managed to get some tickets for us to see a Stoke game, Bolton I believe and I think it was a 3-1 loss! I remember loving the atmosphere from the crowd and I really got into the game, first time I ever enjoyed a football game... After that I 'supported' Stoke but didn't truly follow them too closely really, went to the odd game here and there but probably couldn't even name the whole of the first team! We then got some tickets to see the quarters where we won, and through that we managed to go see the semi-finals, that day Stoke won 5-0 was probably the best day of my life and i remember the whole thing vividly.... Ever since that game I have loved Stoke City and I try to see as many games as possible, that game of football, and ultimately Stoke City is the reason I love the sport so much and dedicate so much of my time to following, watching and playing it! The weather was magnificent, every single goal was a beauty! Won't forget that day as long as I live
TL;DR it was a fucking good game of nogger

You don't have to be from Stoke to support the club. Sounds like you made a considered decision. Good to have you on board

What a day, ran the London Marathon, my first marathon, and then sprinted to Westminster tube station, about 5 guys got off the tube at Wembley and we all walked sideways down the steps going ooh aah Got to the seat just as they were tossing the coin

I think what I loved the most about that match was how the seats at Wembley were (and probably still are) red, and in the last 10 minutes when the Bolton fans were almost all gone, that stadium got progressively redder as though our colours were spreading over their white. Brilliant to watch imo.

Will never forget that day.
Some quality football and brilliant goals. Ethers and Huth's pure technique for their finishes, Pennants through ball and Kenwyne's top class finish (Then almost KO'd Rory during the celebration).. Jon Walters with a great finish (rare we say that ay?) and of course Wilko falling arse over tit always cracks me up.

What Fantastic memories,Travelled up from Cornwall too early for our hotel room but they let us into the car park at the Wembley Plaza where we met some othe stokies,(possibly Lakeland Potter?) Met up with my brother and other mates from the Potteries. Dream match..Dream result..Next morning in the hotel foyer waiting for the lift ..out steps Rory Delap with his wife and kids.Top bloke .chatted to us for about 10 minutes, Mrs D was hilarious, she kept telling Rory forget the final and get the leauge points. Must be one of my best ever football memories

If he had us play like this all the time. I would have loved him to stay. It's games like this and these type of performances where I really miss the bloke. Would have loved him to stay if he could have just got himself out of the rut he got himself into. Alas though still love hughesey and so happy at his first season. Hopefully next season with a good run we can be back at wembely. Goarn stoke!!

I can't imagine how anybody could possibly dislike Pulis after that day and it really baffles me that some do. Without a doubt, it is easily the best day of my footballing life and a joy to watch. The problem was that TP dropped the style and XI from that day on (for whatever reason) and it all went downhill, what a season though, and what a superb day.
