Did this happen under the old manager? Of course not. You could call the old manager a cunt or wanker on here but you can't say the same about hughes or you get told off by admin. I don't think any of the admin liked Mr Pulis. Let it go stafford.....Tony doesn't give a fuck about you

We must be wank if a shit manager like Pulis can get his team within 3 points of us after such a huge head start, don't ya think?. Who do you support, Stoke City or Tony Pulis? Support Stoke lbut I'm in live with Tony.

Surely not. You have to remember the other teams around us are playing much worse than us giving us the 10th spot we are in. What if everybody else were playing like we have been since February, look out here comes Palace. It seems to be a common consensus that we have played poorly our last 3 games, with my point being we managed to win 2 of those games due to luck or better guidance etc . who knows ? Interesting tripe.

It's been a very strange season.
To be fair we were utter shit for the first 23 games of it finding ourselves in the bottom 3 on February 1st with just 5 wins since August and a goals per game ratio right up there with the worst excesses of the Pulis era.
The last 10 weeks (11 games) have been stellar and saved the season.
I just hope we can finish well and carry some of this momentum through to next season.

You can't get over the fact that Mark Hughes's name is sung louder and by more fans than it ever was for that Welsh tool we had previously.
The tool that is sitting 3 points behind us in our best ever season???????? I would suggest that the tool may be located somewhere else

We weren't utter shit for the first 23 games at all. We were a team in transition, playing under a manager who was still trying to stamp his mark on a new set of players. In those shit 23 games there were some fantastic performances like beating Chelsea 3-2, doing everything but win against Man City and putting in one of the most dominant away performances we'd ever done at West Ham. There were signs on an almost game by game basis that once things fell into place, and we started to click, that we'd be a very good team. Some of those signs were; - Putting in a good performance away at Arsenal - Putting in an even better performance away at Man United - Going 2-0 up away at Swansea - Having a great, but strange game with Liverpool at the Brit - What would have been a win against a brilliant Everton side So for 23 games of utter shit, we didn't do too badly. In fact, we weren't utter shit at all. We weren't brilliant and we weren't as good as we've been for the last 10 games, but there were clear signs to any fans who wished to see them that we were slowly turning into a decent side. And as for being in the relegation zone? How long did that last? 4-5 hours? Come off it.

Pulis was a great manager for us when we needed him. Yea there was mistakes but who doesn't have those? With that Hughes seems better tasked to get us forward onto Europe and top ten. I loved the TP days and look forward to even greater heights in the matk hughes barmy army. To be honest I like em both as our managers in thier day each has thier own way of running things. Under TP we had an amazing defence and some great memories but under hughes were more flashy and scoring goals. Either one could do amazings things for us but nothing is forever... enjoy the now.

Can we call him a cunt again now? I don't recall a missive from admin lifting the ban?

Just work on the general principle that the worse the abuse a poster gives to TP the more you can be aware they have been shown to know bugger all about football. Check out this thread for proof of the theory !!

I said we found "ourselves in the bottom 3" which we very briefly did after the early KO's on the day we played Manchester United which became our turning point. After 7 months of utter bilge the New Direction has looked very promising for the last 10 weeks, lets hope it has real substance and legs to run.

Please for those of you who keep bringing up TP, where is your greater interest, Stoke City Football club or a former manager. If you absolutely feel emotionally linked to TP, who incidentally is trying to get as many points for Crystal Palace (not Stoke) as he can, please refer to the following link and feel free to clear off down south on Saturdays: www.google.com/maps/dir/Britannia+Stadium,+Stanley+Matthews+Way,+Stoke-on-Trent+ST4+4EG,+United+Kingdom/Selhurst+Park+Stadium,+Holmesdale+Rd,+London+SE25+6PU,+UK/@52.2381522,-2.3561832,8z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m13!4m12!1m5!1m1!1s0x487a685482948a6f:0x2be0e1f5495d5247!2m2!1d-2.175464!2d52.988264!1m5!1m1!1s0x4876012de369f8cf:0x9587b7222f2816b2!2m2!1d-0.087225!2d51.39869

Sunderland beat Newcastle in the early kick off mate which when they won we dropped into the bottom 3 until 4:50 pm It was only for two hours as we beat Man Utd and bizarrely jumped up to about 14th

Where's the table where we were in the bottom 3 then? Could have swore results elsewhere left us in the bottom three prior to facing man poo. They did. I think pwingy may have cussed out that you can't specify a time of day when you are looking for retrospective league tables and therefore we won't be able to produce such a league table. Of course he is correct in that supposition but none of that detracts from the fact that we were indeed in the bottom 3 on February 1st so we are correct on the point of substance.

I have enjoyed watching my football team this season and was happy to renew my season ticket. Ihave attended matches this season for the joy and entertainment of watching football, not out of the sense of duty to a club which has formed such a large part of my life.
Sometimes I watch Stoke simply because I have to. This season I have enjoyed many games too.

Well, you can slice and dice it how you like, and we won't be the only team to have had good performances against good sides, but the reality is after 23 games we found ourselves in the bottom 3. So overall and on balance and in the round for a club in its 6th season in the Prem then a bottom 3 position two thirds of the way through the season could reasonably be characterised as utter shite. Since then we have really kicked on so for the moment I am rejoicing in that news.
