Great goal but if he had done it against us Whelan would have made sure he stayed off the pitch And if he done it at Manure he'd have fallen down that cliff at the side if the pitch.

Cracking game of footy, made better by an ace ref who just told the diving fuckers to get up all through I agree about the ref and he also gave them a mouthful of abuse every time they did it, or else it seemed that way to me!

Pure abuse of pace from Bale. Tidy finish there at the end of it though.

He's not exactly been shit, but when Ronaldo has scored over twice that across a similar number of games... He's still got a way to go to be fully accepted by the fans, maybe last night will be the game it happened.

I cant think that Ronaldo would be that pissed at Bale if he actually contributes. If he makes the difference to Real winning a few trophies this season and next, Im sure Ronaldo will be grateful he didnt have to do it all himself.
Ronaldo is clearly the superior player but at times he has carried Madrid's goal threat single handedly

What a goal to win the Copa Del Rey 1-1, Madrid under pressure, 86 on the clock, picked it up in his own half and outran a Barca defender OFF the pitch he ran so wide, left him for dead then poked it past the keeper. Cracking game of footy, made better by an ace ref who just told the diving fuckers to get up all through Boy, is he quick, reminds you of Walters 'eh.

What a crying shame a player of his quality will never play in a World or even European Cup!

Saw a BBC headline talking about Bale's "wonder goal" so was somewhat underwhelmed when I saw it. Basically he just ran very fast and then got a toe poke under the keepers body. Don't get me wrong it was a very good goal, but I was expecting something like Ryan Gigg's goal against Arsenal in that FA Cup semi final a few years ago. Now that was a wonder goal! opinions eh.....i've always though this is one of the most overrated goals ever. if you're describing Bale's goal as just running very fast then all Gigg's goal was running quite slowly while only one player even attempted to tackle him

Great player but does anybody else think he's a couple of hamstring injuries away from being relatively average? He relies on his incredible pace so much and that can disappear very quickly.

Seen him a lot this year and hasn't impressed me. People saying Bale is better than him are definitely right. Di Maria is also better than him

He needs to adapt his game. Once his pace goes is there still a decent player there? He tends to knock the ball in front if him then runs, different type of dribbling than what players like messi and Suarez can do. Ronaldo I think combines a mix of both, but certainly if bale has a bad injury and loses his pace, he may struggle .

Di Maria is also better than him Neymar is a much more intelligent player than both of them, Di Maria is particular and skill wise he is far superior as he showed vs Atletico last week, a mard arse and a diving arsehole but still right on par with Bale and much better than Di Maria

Great player but does anybody else think he's a couple of hamstring injuries away from being relatively average? He relies on his incredible pace so much and that can disappear very quickly. Thats kinda like saying Usain Bolt is a couple of hamstring injuries away from not winning the Olympics. Bale's main attribute is running in a straight line with the ball very fast for sure. But it does require some skill to keep the ball under control. Plus he does have a few tricks and a deadly shot as well. Compared to say Messi hes definitely not as tricky when it comes to dribbling, but he has the potential to be almost as effective

Very much so..he is the definition of a YouTube player, everything seems to be done for the camera Not saying he is a bad player but not on Bale's level and this season hasn't been on Di Maria's level either (I never used to rate Di Maria but this season he has been outstanding)
