Watching the Man City v Sunderland game and his first touch is shocking, no closing down, passing is poor …he just doe NOT look interested…. Shocking player still of the same opinion ? Seems like you placed your punt a wee bit early

Two goals don't suddenly make him a good player.

There's a lot of room for improvement but he's a big lad, not bad technically, young and has a lot going for him . I can see him doing very well in the prem with a good side if he gets decent service like he did from guaccherini who's a very good player

He'll be well worth the £8m they paid if he scores the goals to keep them up this season, looked completely out of his depth a few years back but has played well over the past month is and still only 21.

Always had potential and was clearly lacking confidence. Never going to be world class, but he's got all the attributes to be a success at this level.
I'd happily swap him with Crouch.

Did you eat the sports journalists book of cliches and para phrases for breakfast? Just need to add "clinical finisher" and "takes his chances well". "Eye for goal" finished off with a chortled "he can't stop scoring."

JournalSunderland's desire to keep hold of Connor Wickham will be tested in the next fortnight with a clutch of Premier League clubs ready to make a bid for the striker. Wickham’s contract situation has alerted Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Stoke City, who are all monitoring the former England under-21’s availability.
It is understood Leicester are ready to table a £5million bid to try and prise the striker from the Stadium of Light – and the reaction of the Cats hierarchy will be telling.
