As Cambridge lose 2-0 tonight the Hatters are back. I remember going regularly in the early 00s, that seems a long time ago.

Glad for the fans. A club that maybe not the biggest but one that has been to the top and won a trophy in my lifetime, fell onto hard times and dropped like a stone.
Generally, the fans have stuck by them. Pleased for them.

Haven't they been "nearly men" for the past 6 years either losing in the playoffs or being pipped to the playoffs on the last day of the season?

Very odd way to enter a stadium. Had some good days there and some absolute stinkers.

I remember, the away supporters ban, plastic pitch, and it's membership/ID scheme. It's Tory MP chairmans support for a national football supporter ID scheme, and oh didn't they resign from the football league to help form the premier league? Lovely club.

I always think that the lower down the structure a club falls, the more it becomes about those who go rather than the players and pundits who are the focus of the game at the higher levels. So bless the (average) 7,500 who have been turning up to watch Luton. You deserve to be getting back into the league when about as many people watched you in the conference as watched us in League One. Well done them (and, as put above, I have a weird soft-spot for them, since that game)

Pleased for them, good honest loyal fans always get my vote rather than jumping ship and becoming life long fans of Man Utd cuz their Grandad's next door neighbour once knew someone who had passed through Manchester on their way to Scotland.

One of my favourite away days ever, Luton 1996, we were 1-0 down until the 88th minute until sheron and sturridge scored, secured our place in the playoffs that night I think.

Welcome back Luton.
After all the shit they have been through over the years, promotion is well deserved.

That 4-4 was a classic, remember it well on the day. We used three 'keepers that day.

I seem to remember Luton were top of the Championship when Brammer stuck this one away weren't they? How times change.

The irony being, having helped to set up the premier league, they never played in it. The premier league also further widened the gap between rich and poor clubs. So while they were loafing in the bottom league without a pot to piss in, arguably it was a problem they helped to create by their resignation in 91-92.

Remember the game in Christmas 2005 away. They scored a penalty 2 minutes from time to level it 2-2 then Paul Gallagher scored in the 90th minute and we won 3-2. Brilliant mental

I was mascot against luton in 1983. I also remember the 4-4 draw really well. That cross from Chamberlain for the second goal was incredible. Foxy nearly quit after that sending off. I remember he was so pissed off about it.
