My Brother-in-Law is a Liverpool fan, so if they win I'll be guaranteed a good night out on the piss. So yeah, I'd like 'em to win it. If I'm being honest though, being the best of a bunch of cunts still makes you a cunt! I have a brother in law like that too , he drives from Somerset too watch them so fair play to him

On merit they are the best team we've played home and away respectively all season ! They are also the only team to have cheated their way to victory at the Brit this year. For that reason alone I don't want them to win.

It's like choosing a way to be murdered.
I fucking hate Liverpool and wouldn't want them to win a single thing ever again but it would piss the Man Utd fans off more than if Man City won it. One shit fan at work said he would rather drop the trophy off himself at the Etihad wearing a Man City kit than have Liverpool win it. That's very tempting.
I'd even rather have Arsenal win it than Liverpool.
Chelsea for me though - more my style of football and football management.

Most teams have players that dive, but Liverpool must have the most. An outrageous bunch of cheats. Even the keeper dives ffs.

I hope Liverpool fuck up and loose out to Chelsea, the only downside would be that we would have to have another minutes silence every year to commemorate their lost title, Miseryside would go into complain overdrive and the press would implode.

I hate Chelski. I hate Mourinho, Abramovitch, Terry, Lampard, Fulham Broadway Station, the North End Road, the Kings Road, a man who stands near the bus stop outside Fulham Broadway Station with a crap haircut....you name it, I hate all of it. And Citeh aren't a football club, they're just a publicity stunt for Abu Dhabi. So that leaves Liverpool. I also hope they win for the same reason that I'd like Atletico to win La Liga...it's just a bit of a change. Like Wigan being relegated. Makes life more interesting. There'd be nothing interesting about Chelski winning, they're as interesting as a bunch of funeral directors on a wet Tuesday morning....sorry I'm at it again.

Living on Merseyside, the answer is a categorical no. It's going to be unbearable if they win it, worse than their Champions League win in 2005.

Oh god no
If any of you are my age (near 40) then you grew up in the city surrounded by glory hunting kids with Liverpool shirts all through the 80's.
Most are still "fans" to this day (and still buy the shirts) despite most of them having never been to Anfield or even tried to go, when it comes to football they are the most obnoxious, whiny, deluded and precious twats I know.
Right now they are already becoming unbearable and I would rather anyone, even Arsenal win it but them.
Also the "buying the title" talk is nonsense, every club up there has spent similar, huge amounts of money it's just Chelsea and Man City have done it in a shorter period.

You know why they are becoming unbearable? It's because we keep starting threads talking about them? If you don't like em turn over the tv or don't read about them it really is that simple....

They're a bunch of twats I was in the pub Sunday lunchtime there must of been 30 of em ln all cheering. One woman who I have seen her watching stoke games had a brand new shirt with her name of the back and "96" at the collar. I said I thought you were a stoke fan she replied that when Liverpool were crap she supported stoke because they're good again she's gone back to the scoucers Horrible cunts no for me citeh to win it

I'd never call myself "happy enough" with anyone winning the title.
Try as I might I can't find happiness in anyone else winning anything.

I'm split on the matter. I know a couple of Liverpool fans and since they have become good again, they are unbareable and now believe they are one of the best teams in the world so fuck knows how bad they will be if they win the thing. But on the other side of the coin I want Liverpool to win it for one reason only...... I really think Gerrard deserves more than anyone in the league to lift the title. His loyalty and performances for Liverpool and England have been exceptional and the title is the 1 cup he has not yet lifted so for that reason alone I would like Liverpool ( on this occasion only) to win u this year.... our dominance of the league can start next season now ;-) Agree mate, for the sake of Gerrard and what seemed to be the likely situation of him never being involved with a liverpool team that won the league, it is them that I would like to win. And also because I don't want to see Chelsea or Man City.

Absolutely not, I fucking hate them nearly as much as Wolves. As for being the best team to play us at home, I honestly think that was Norwich, they completely nullified anything we had. Where as all Liverpool did was dive and get the decisions from the ref. I mean if that rugby tackle by Skrtle on Shawcross wasn't a penna I don't know what fucking is. Fuck them, I hope they fuck it up on the last day of the season so I can watch them all wallow in more self pity.

Yes because they have several english players in the team. So hopefully they'll be buzzing at the world cup and they'll have a good tournament.

Not bothered in the slightest who wins it but in terms of what would have the best possible affect as a plus for England going to Brazil, then it has to be Liverpool for me.
If Liverpool win it and Everton get fourth, then those players will have MASSIVELY over achieved this season and the confidence that that brings to them individually can only be a good thing for England.
Potentially seven of the ten outfield players could fall into this group and they will all be on a massive high when they step on the plane to Rio - hopefully that momentum might continue into the tournament.

I tend to agree with you Paul but Gerrard looked mentally exhausted on Sunday and whilst you might think it'll breed confidence, it could also have the opposite effect,

If they win it, it's a bit different and I'll be happy to have that.
If they fuck it up, it will be hilarious and I'll also be happy with that.

I had a bet on Chelsea, but if they don't win it, Gerrard deserves it. He's had lots of chances to get a transfer to go hunting medals, but he's stayed loyal to his club. I don't particularly like the bloke, but I respect his loyalty.
