I know that you are a spanner and that you can't help it but let me explain.... I never knew what the future held if TP returned - I merely thought he could get us in the top 6 of the Championship - Ianrb was the only 'King of Predictions' that I knew of. I'm not berating anyone that declared the same for Hughes because there were very, very few. Many were concerned as I was pre 'The Shit' at home and predicting that we wouldn't get 40 points. The vast majority didn't see this level of turnaround. Get back to those windows...they don't smear themselves! Just as quite a few thought Mark Hughes could give us a good season. He just needed some time, you know the time that you and your fellow sunshine variety coach mates wouldn't give him before moaning your fucking bags off, the same time you would deal out in spades to the last incumbent. And even when he did start to turn it round you tried to turn it into a Pulis circus. Let's face it over the last couple of weeks you have made yourself look a thick cunt and the 'Vast Majority' will agree with me. Now get back to your desk if you can still fit behind it and recruit some twat who can type less shite than you. H the same vast majority that said said Pulis would ruin the club the same vast majority that said he left a wank legacy I moaned my sack off when the current manager (who I have heaped praise on recently) had us edging to the bottom 3.....pretty much like you ball bags who were moaning at Pulis last season when things were going tits up.

If you can't get carried away by our best ever away performance and win in the PL then football isn't worth watching and the club isn't worth supporting. I fucking give up - we were brilliant yesterday but some people want to play it down. not playing it down Pugs.... as a great man ( ) once said "We've had a fantastic run of success. It's been an upwards curve now and that's very unusual at any football club, that you keep bettering what you've done year after year. "I think the great thing about the football club is the supporters have enjoyed it so much, but they remember what it's like in the Championship. They understand that our priority is to stay in the Premier League. " Managing expectations at football clubs now is almost as difficult as managing the players on the pitch, but you learn and you have to get on with it." let's just get to that 40 points mark then we can safely park the bus for the rest of the games until the end of the season and we'll all be happy Twoddle. We didn't better ourselves last two years - we were going backwards at an alarming rate despite unprecedented spending. I don't buy the staying in the PL at all costs. It's great being in the top division but to me it's not the be all and end all. All we hear is 40 points - change the record. Managing expectations? Who the fuck is anyone to manage the expectations of PAYING supporters? I find it sad that people fall for this horseshit, mainly peddled by failing Managers.

At the end of the day we've had better football this season than the last 2 and the current manager has spent far less than the previous manager.
We've had better results at home against the big sides, are comfortably in midtable and on course to break our points and league position record for the first time since being in this league.
Last season and the one before I was bored stiff. This season i'm very happy.

What a fucking twonk. Some of us were posting this months back, about the same time as some tools were telling us we're doomed, Arnie is dog shit and the manager is clueless. But at the time all those things were true - we were dead and buried, Arnie was absolute shite and the manager was absolutely clueless. However, we are now looking good, Arnie has seemingly grown up, turned up and decided to put a shift in and at the moment the manager seems to have a clue and long may it continue!

Some people diagnosed with a narcissistic personality disorder are characterized by exaggerated feelings of self-importance. They have a sense of entitlement and demonstrate grandiosity in their beliefs and behavior. They have a strong need for admiration, but lack feelings of empathy. Symptoms of this disorder, as defined by the DSM-IV-TR, include: Expects to be recognized as superior and special, without superior accomplishments Expects constant attention, admiration and positive reinforcement from others Envies others and believes others envy him/her Is preoccupied with thoughts and fantasies of great success, enormous attractiveness, power, intelligence Lacks the ability to empathize with the feelings or desires of others Is arrogant in attitudes and behavior Has expectations of special treatment that are unrealistic GOOD MORNING MERK

That will do Pugs Obviously your opinion (as a high ranking figure in the wankstain movement) is an important one and given that it was that you thought we wouldn't (which is the same as you couldn't see it) get to 40 points is an interesting one. Thanks for clarifying.

'Wouldn't' and 'couldn't see it' are not the same. One is a definitive, one isn't.

'Wouldn't' and 'couldn't see it' are not the same. One is a definitive, one isn't. then went went on to say 'you thought we wouldn't' which is pretty much the as 'couldn't see it' pedantry won't save the wankstains being as wrong as anybody else in judging the first half of the season.

Fucking hell, mcf, do you have some kind of weird pathological compulsion to make yourself look as much of a childish idiot on public messageboards as you possibly can?!
What next, an admission that you don't fully understand football or your thinking is biased towards Pulis and against Hughes ???

I've only read the odd bit of this thread but its threads like this that make me wonder about those 'pre-oatcake' years where the only time you could catch up with fellow stokies were at the Vic by which time we were too interested in the game to spout twaddle from the past. Why don't we focus on the here and now and relish that fact we've got a game in only 48 hours - I certainly can't wait.
Gouranga (be happy) as Albert always says.

Why can’t we just agree it’s been a topsy-turvy season. Anyone who says it’s been one of continual improvement is lying. It started promisingly, was then characterised by a stream of personal and team errors which wasn’t so much shooting ourselves in the foot but getting a blunderbuss to a pair of clown shoes. The odd decent performance kept us afloat (Chelsea and Villa) and then from Christmas to the end of January, we had a bit of bad luck but also looked like a side going backwards quicker than a Vale fans job prospects. No one could have predicted the turnaround from those horrible two days in London at the end of January. The football since then has been a pleasure but before that it swung between good and dunderheaded and we did at times look like we’d lost our competitive edge. On balance though Hughes is headed for an 8.5/10 for the season because his new employer either didn’t have the will to back him or didn’t recognise the Pizza eating ineptitude of the team he’d put together to back him so what he has achieved is undoubtedly very good. That’s this season in a nutshell. No agenda from me You fucking wankstain bastards. ?
