Cup game, can't remember who, but you can tell how long ago it was, stood with a school friend and his dad, borrowed his rattle and proceeded to hit him in the face with it. 1) What was the first Stoke game you attended?
Some game in the horrific 84-85 season. Dad was attempting to stem my initial flirting with Wolverhampton Wanderers (I was born and bred round the black country) and he thought watching a team accumulate less points than a fork was the best way to do it. I don't actually remember which one it was, my memories become more vivid during the equally unimpressive Mick Mills era.

So difficult….Peterborough away in the Autoglass in 92 is right up there, going to Wembley with Stoke felt a million light years away in my formative years as a Stoke fan. Beating Manchester United at the vic, the home game against Leicester to seal promotion to the Premier League, Aston Villa at home when everyone told us we wouldn't win a game, the 4-3 against Albion the year we won League One….they all have a place, but it doesn'tbeat the Bolton semi for me. I fainted after the fourth went in, then cried at the end. I was just so very, very proud to be a Stoke fan.

1) What was the first Stoke game you attended? Mid seventies - Stoke v Blackpool - lost 2 nil. Mickey Walsh scoring I think.
2) What's your favourite ever Stoke game? Man alive a toughie. Loved following Lou in the 80's and had some cracking away days. 2-0 at Vale Park with Steino and wing wizardry from Jon Butler - followed by pitch invasion! Marvellous. Semi Final equals it.
