Arsenal 0 John Ritchie 1 1971 Hope Stoke do it again this week end.
Beating Chelsea in the league cup final 1972. Hope Stoke beat them again this season.
v Santos (Pele & Co) Still remember seeing the great man.
Dennis Smith's debut match. You just knew Stoke had a gem; he was so self confident in his first match.

When we came back to beat Scunthorpe 2-3 on a winter's evening in 2008, after being 2-0 down away from home. Major mental, natch, but that was the first time that I started to genuinely believe we had a chance of promotion to the prem. That 23 year long tunnel had a glimmer of light at the end.

Was at that game mate and it was a great mental mate but it was the home game we were 2-0 down and came back to 3-2.The away game we went 2-1 down with 5 minutes to go which caused allsorts of anger in the away end but thankfully an own goal and Lennie's header saved the day.

West Ham 3 Stoke City 4 Circa 1968 I wasn't there but well remember the result. If my memory serves me right West Ham were 3 - 0 up by half time and Dobing and Burrows both scored a brace in the second half. I did go to the next match at Wolves when Stoke blasted them in the first half. I don't remember the final score but it was also something like 4 - 3. Anyone remember this match?

A lot of other games here I was obviously glad to be at. So I will add another one slightly different to what I've seen so far.
4-0 away at Leeds sticks in my mind. We had just got a few loans in. I woke up that morning in a badddddd way hung over and it was a last min shout to go. Great free kick from lee hendrie set us on our way. I think Riccy scored his first with a curled effort in front of the away fans. The first of many!

1990 Brighton's Goldstone ground! 9,614 attn.
Forget how many were Stoke but we filled the pitch at the end when we got relegated and won 4-1.
What a totally surreal day anyone would have thought we were promoted! Bermuda shorts and inflatables!!
Loads of lads lining the road cheering supporters arriving in car outside the Albion Hove Pub as it was packed full!
We had a lanky forward then too well 6'5" by the name of Mark Sale!

- Birmingham 1-0 about 1995 at the Vic. First time in the back of Boothen and jumping up and down like a nutter. Got me hooked.
- Wolves 3-0 first season at the Brit. I was on a high for about a week.
- Gillingham 3-2 1st leg of the play-offs. Brit was actually shaking after our two early goals.
- Middlesbrough 1-0 first season up. Big win in a really raw atmosphere.
- Bolton 5-0. No explanation necessary. Never thought I'd have a day like that after all the shit I'd spent the first 15-20 years of my Stoke City-supporting life watching.
- Hajduk Split 1-0 away. Could have gone for most of the European away trips but the combination of novelty, location, weather, excitement and home fans made this the best for me.
