"Working closely with manager Tony Pulis and Chief Executive Tony Scholes, Mark will head the scouting and player recruitment department. Mark has worked as a football agent for the past ten years, focusing on player recruitment and talent management." I could cry

I see what you're saying but I'm sure Coates mk 1 was very happy with the job Mr Moxey was doing back in 96/97. He was the only person on earth who believed that though. Agree with that! I think you and I are among the few who remember the cuntishness of Coates Mk1 Im sure a lot of us do Mark

we have tried to spend 6-8 million today Trying to spend 6-8 million isn't a challenge, any fool could do it given the opportunity, spending it wisely however... The Coates / Scholes / Cartwright threads are all bullshit, nobody on this board knows what's going on in the club and who makes the decisions, who is good at their job and who isn't, they're all just scapegoats for the avaricious. We've wasted far too much money over the past few seasons and I'm glad to see we've put an end to it as it's not sustainable, clubs that live beyond their means are always bitten in the end and I don't want to see Stoke end up like Leeds / Portsmouth. We've got enough to stay up this season and I'm confident we will Vis Unita Fortior

There is a great big fucking clue in that somewhere.

His job title is Head of Recruitment. That is ALL you need to know, Judge for yourselves the quality of his work. And you aren't that daft Sheiky. I'm as disappointed as the next man even though I knew it was coming( as an avid reader you will have noted me saying so a couple of fanzines back) but at least lets understand what is going on here. I remember a happier time when we could pin all this shit on Tony Pulis. Ah, those halcyon days.

"Working closely with manager Tony Pulis and Chief Executive Tony Scholes, Mark has the ability to precisely decipher between a meat feat and BBQ chicken topping within seconds. Mark has worked as a football agent for the past ten years, never focusing on player recruitment and rarely talent management, but does make a mean stuffed crust base."

Apparently the Transfer team and board have gone even further back to the Hundreds year war and are now blaming some Frenchmen... Progress?

Celebrating in full view of the national media because a pizza had arrived. What a fucking amateur. Put his head on a fucking spike and put it outside Clayton Wood ala Game of Thrones. Wasn't it actually because they thought they had sorted a signing out?

Is it Cartwright?
I was under the impression he was more of a knowledge man, finding the Pitroipas of the world rather than actual negotiating deals and that was Scholes' department?

Yeah Pitroipas would be really hard to find , he was african cup player of the tournament and in the final 5 for African player of the year. Google found that out

That's a good point. I've been told he's had an increasing involvement in who we should and shouldn't be in for which is a worry in itself but I don't know how involved he is in contract negotiations. That used to be in Scholes and Rudgie's domain so you would think Carto has taken up the slack?

I feel like Rudgie and Cartwright are the polar opposites when comes to being Director of Football so maybe they both do different jobs no idea, a bit of transparency in the club wouldn't be bad at this point

Fat lot of use his worldwide contacts have been, when he was appointed you thought we would be bringing in unknown exciting players, even though we didn't get them, we were after Ince and Cattermole.

Wasn't it actually because they thought they had sorted a signing out? Nope. I cut over to SSN about 11.20 and (straight-faced) - Rob Dorsett reported that the high-five that their cameras had filmed earlier, was indeed because the pizza had arrived. So the call Scholes was filmed making at 10.50 was probably not "a deal being done" as Simon Jordan predicted, but a call to Domino's. Pizzagate indeed if this Window comes back to haunt us.
