In what way? By wanting the best for our club? By wanting the manager to put a striker on when we are knocking on the door? Hughes is a numpty. Numpty hey? took yer almost 5 months to reply then. A lots changed since my initial post and things have changed for the better or have you been in suspended animation??

So what happens when we lose a few next season? Same again? Emotions tend to determine a lot of replies on this and many other forums, especially after the game. At the time I'm sure my response was based on such emotion. I'm sure me, you and countless others will have a rant over something next season, about things that could/should be different.

This is the kinda shit that stopped me coming on here this season.
I thought after Pulis left this place would lighten up a bit. If anything it only got worse. I will never understand some of our fans.
Surely now, a year after Tone has gone, we can all be on the same page?
We are all Stoke fans. TP was a legend and as he has shown with Palace he is the best around at what he does. What he could not do was take us to the next level. Hughes has done that with fuck all financial backing. Nobody can argue with that. I can understand all the doubts at the time of the appointment but now... surely... finally... we don't need to have for and against camps on the oatcake anymore?

Some of the comments are rather funny - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22689474"This guy must give one hell of an interview - I don't know how else he got this job!" "Isn't it strange how you fail, get sacked, but clubs still think that it'll be different with them.....only in football!!" "Tony Pulis must be absolutely stunned. To be sacked after over-achieving for 5 years because your club want to push on is one thing. To be replaced by an unmitigated failure is quite another. So Pulis is fired for establishing Stoke as a Premiership team. Mark Hughes is rewarded for abject failure. Peter Coates has succeeded only in making Stoke a laughing stock. Favourites for the drop."

I find bringing these threads back up quite cringe worthy, and not because of what was previously written.

There are a lot of bellends who post on here who in reality know little about nogger. They simply couldn't see past Sparky and QPR. They were just too stupid and ignorant to appreciate what Mark had done at other clubs and his managerial style. Lucky for us there are plenty who couldn't have been happier with Hughes from the outset. It was embarrassing at times to watch how our new manager was being treated by some. Mark ignored it, believed, and has taken us to 9th. Long may he stay. The doubters can go elsewhere. Even booed at the Brit during a transitional phase. It was clear that he was trying different things to see what would work best with the players he'd got. Not to these idiots, though.

Though I'd pulled myself in line by the midpoint of the season, I'm amazed that none of my anti-Hughes stuff has risen yet. Must say though, for every one of these threads we'll have a legacy thread, a Pulis will never manage in the Premier League thread, etc etc. We've all got our Oatcake skeletons rattling down on page 158.

In the main, the ones throwing the main hissy fits and posting the crap above about Hughes were the ones that were the heart and soul of the rimming community under the last regime. I don't know if's that's a coincidence or what?

Which sort of explains my previous post, are they attempting to 'punish' us for being bored of it last season and wanting a change? You know what, you don't need to answer that.

Again I dont know what you mean wingy. I was just pointing out that people have always flapped at a few poor games in a row since weve been up in the prem. Some people are the conservarive types, some are flappers. Then the Pulis/ Les haters act accordingly.
