No doubting he's made a positive contribution for us since joining on loan, but one thing that is really annoying me about him is the number of tackles he is backing out of. I reckon he's bottled a tackle at least once in every single game he's played for us so far. He bottled one on the half way line yesterday and allowed Palace to break into our half, thankfully nothing came of it but he would've been rightly slaughtered for it if it had. Hughes needs to take him to one side and give him a stern talking to about it, it's embarrassing to see one of our own players do that.

He's a fanny and will never change that side of his game.

I keep blowing hot and cold with him. An undoubted talent but a lightweight who bottles tackling and takes 45mins to get going.
He had the opportunity to get rid but made a weak back pass to Wilson in the penalty area. Ok Wilson was asleep but Assaidi must share the blame.

Everyone was wanking over him a few weeks ago and demanding we buy him.
I think he's decent on his day but nowhere near as good as Ethers was. That's the yardstick by which potential wingers should be judged, and I don't think he's quite consistent enough.

I think the correct lady parts epithet in this context is "pussy". I prefer to use fanny. At the risk of starting a significant debate on the correct use of lady part words in the context of football,I think it is important to have some clear definitions around these words to ensure there is no confusion. So, for starters... Pussy; does not commit to a tackle, turns his back in a wall... Fanny; tries one trick too many and consequently loses the ball Twat; Martin Atkinson I'll let other contributors add further words.

He's fast and tricky, has a great shot on him, very right footed though and opponents will soon realise he cuts inside at every available opportunity.
I think he would probably be better off in La Liga as he will always be far too lightweight for the Premiership.

He won't make it in this league. Scores the odd wonder goal but his general wing play isn't good enough and he still looks like a little kid playing in a mans league.

Maybe he is here in the Premier League at exactly the right time..............now that ref's are awarding "Spanish penalties"

Significant upgrade on the likes of Kightly but nowhere near Ethers when he first arrived. He is however better than the Etherington we've had since the FA Cup season. I'm more worried about the right side personally......we looked so much better when we had 2 proper wingers tearing down both sides of the pitch, rather than 1 winger and a defensive forward ( if such a position should even exist at all ).

He's not as good as some were suggesting only a couple of weeks ago and not as bad as some are suggesting now. Yes he bottled a tackle on the half way line but he tracked back quite a bit 2nd half, put some tackles in and even on the goal he did his defensive duties up until he tried to pass to Wilson instead of hoofing into touch.Btw that's 3 needless goals we've conceded in the last 2 games by fannying about instead of launching the ball clear. He also had the measure of his fullback and got some good crosses in.Don't forget the goals he scored too.
He's ok but I wouldn't want us to make him a permanent signing unless he improves as the season goes on.I think he's more suited to a Spanish league
