PLEASE FOR GOD SAKE LOAN EDU! Over to the left of your keyboard is the caps lock key. Use it to enable you to type in lower case - that will stop your posts looking as if they have been written by a thicko.

Not quite sure why we have kept him on if I'm being honest.

Not quite sure why we have kept him on if I'm being honest. Because some genius signed him on a permanent contract perhaps, couple that with the fact that no one else wants him and we have the situation we have now.

I'm at the pre-geriatric age where I wake up quite early in the mornings. No doubt, before long, I will have reached the age where I spend most of my time asleep - as we all do at the very start and very end of our lives.

There are about 6 clubs trying to sign him but Hughes does not want to let him go. He is good to have around the place apparently!

Maybe in making other players feel good about themselves; look at Edu, he's an international but you're much better than him. I'd love to know what six clubs are after him - Stafford Rangers may be one. That would be about the right level.

I don't get all this bashing of players like Edu, Ness etc
They didn't ask to sign for SCFC and didn't insist on being payed X amount per week in wages
They were courted and agreed terms like anybody else would so good luck to em
The finger needs pointing elsewhere for their total non appearances on a Stoke shirt and the reasons behind their signings and the fact the manager wouldn't waste a penny of the chairmans money

Wiki says: "Edu Maurice Edu, Jr. (born April 18, 1986) is an American soccer player who plays for Stoke City and the United States national team." Mmmmk, tenuous.

It might be a piss taking reference to a previous manager and his justification for signing certain players, most notably Michael Owen. BM

Will Edu remain with the Union?"I don't know; that's out of my hands at this point," Edu said yesterday morning after his turn taking his exit interview, with Curtin and the coaching staff. "It's up to the clubs [Stoke and the Union] to come to an agreement." "Edu thinks there are many reasons why staying in the league is the best option for him." Can't see him coming back. Probably best all round if a deal can be thrashed out.

I believe that a couple of yankee doodle clubs want him, but wont pay the same wages as he currently earns. For his last loan, they only paid a percentage of his wages & now want to pay less. He is never going to come back, so best bet would be to pay up his contract at a discount & leave him to fix himself up elsewhere
