I thought it was a poor challenge at the time and I still do. I've seen worse but that doesn't mean it was good. We might not care about his other tackles but Spurs fans do and we would if this had happened to us three times from the same player. That's my point. Fair do's but my point about the other tackles is that they were either dealt with at the time or not, I don't care, nowt to do with his time at Stoke. What I do know is that this is a fairly innocuous incident that has put a player out for a couple of weeks. Can I understand a few Spurs fans gobshiting off on twitter, yep. Official complaints asking for some sort action that would punish Stoke to be taken? Absolute utter bollocks. I agree with that mate, the official calls are bollocks. The suggestion that Spurs fans are wishy washy pansies for being aggrieved at a bloke constantly putting their players out is what galls me given we're the first to shriek on here like Donald Sutherland at the end of Invasion of the Bodysnatchers when anything happens to us.

It was & still is a 50/50 tackle, both went for the ball.
Doesn't mean Charlie is shit at tackling because he is. Like some one else said they cringe when he goes in for a tackle. The Tottenham fans have over reacted ( as per usual ) Everyone else is jumping on the 'Dirty Stoke' bandwagon, it makes for better headlines !!!
I think we are getting hammered by the media at the moment and as a club we aren't as media savvy as we could be.

I do think the Ramsey incident and disgusting 3 1/2 year long aftermath has made us a bit too touchy on any incidents against us, I agree, but this official complaint needs to be laughed out of town. One of my main problems with Spurs fans is that they only got truly upset with the incident when it turns out it was a semi serious injury to their player. Judging the outcome of a tackle rather than the incident itself really gets on my tits since Sept 2010.

Like I said. Let's all await spurs and arsenals next 'bad' tackle. Heaven forbid they injure someone. Wonder how their fans will react?

If the game wasn't such a non-event, this would have been a red card, plain and simple. The overreaction from this 'tackle' by Adam is nonsensical.

Spurs are to make official complaint against sky tv.
Michael Schumacher has headlined the news with being in a coma. Spurs felt that Paulinho who didn't just suffer ligament damage but suffered 'significant ligament damage' should have headlined instead.
Sky have refused to comment

The FA - No action to be taken
Was referred to the panel as ref missed it but not deemed a card.

Because they know if they took action for that there'd be no players left to fulfil fixtures.

Adam must be the worst tackler I've seen down Stoke for a long long time, however I missed this one.

Firstly that was a shite, poorly timed tackle.
Secondly Charlie puts his foot over the travel of the ball. Now whether that was an attempt to shield the ball with his body that went wrong because he stepped on Paulinho's ankle, or he was trying to hurt Paulinho depends on your point of view.
Knowing how shite a tackler Adam is I'm convinced it's the former, but I can understand why Spuds fans aren't happy.
Saying that though it's day and night away from being the worst or most malicious challenge I've ever seen so they are basically just belly aching because he's been injured. The challenge in no way warrants this kind of furore.

Exactly, there has been previous little comment made by us about the Hernandez challenge that effectively put Huth on the operating table. That's the difference between fans though. It's a man's game, we accept it whereas others wet their knickers about "rough" tackles.

I don't think he was trying to hurt him, he's just slow so is late to the scene and misses the ball. It's what he does, he's shit at tackling.

FIFA 14 imitates life. Charlie is horrible at tackling on that game too, has not executed one clean slide tackle yet. I have stopped trying with him. Even Luca Toni is a better tackler FFS.

The really ironic thing is they're all whining like bitches about Adam 'doing' one of their players but are then urging their enforcer (I know sorry) to do Adam. Kind of sums the North London mentality up perfectly. Hypocritical knob jockeys.

Spurs were chanting at Adam last year before he pulled back Vertongen at the Brit last year.
I do think his tackling is worse than that of Paul Scholes.
I will be dismayed if the FA respond positively to Spurs.
I did not see the challenge on Pieters. Nor did MOTD2 show Dembele pull back Walters after both had been booked.
And if Sugar is getting involved he can take a running jump!

What's everyone getting worked up about?
He's injured 4 of their players with poor challenges and he IS a very poor at tackling. I don't think there was any real malice but, if we were Spurs fans, we'd be moaning our bags off.

That Sandro thing is hilarious, however I'm not sure referring to yourself as a 'beast' in the current climate is particularly wise.
