linkHow are things going with the continuation of your career? Wolfsburg offered you a new contract?
- Wolfsburg offered me a new contract year + year. That was ten days ago. I have not yet decided. As far as finances, everything is great, I'm totally satisfied. However, I have to be sure. I got an offer from Stoke. I talked to the coach and president of the Premier League club. With them I kinda went the furthest in the talks. I saw that they really want me So, going to the island is a likely option?- Well, look, this is how I think. Play another year against Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United ... it sounds good to me. Yes, there are concerns that the Wolfsburg or Stoke, but one never knows. Who knows, maybe there is some other offer. I am calm and I will soon make a decision"

We next season could start with 3 strikers up front who are all 33+ years old! Would this be a PL record? Could be OK, but would really like to see someone a bit younger brought in soon!

So he'll end up at West Ham, the Baggies or one of the newly promoted clubs then?

It doesn't matter how old you are if you can still do the business. On a free transfer there's nothing to lose.

He'd walk into our side, his age is a worry but he's a massive improvement on Walters. We could go all Bundesliga in the front 4 if we stay, I'm sure some would love it! Olic Hunt Arnie
Diouf All for 2/3 million quid in transfer fees.

If we are looking at also signing young players like Agudelo then playing them with quality old players is a long proven way forward especially for provincial clubs like Stoke

It would give us an ANCIENT forward line with Olic, Crouch and Odemwingie well in to their 30's and Walters over 30 too.
Not sure where it would leave the new direction, but hey, needs must and all that...

It's a policy that worked OK for Waddo.
As long as they player still has the necessary ability (and that's the important bit), it makes as much sense to sign 34 year olds on Bosmans as it does to pay money for younger players. If we get 12 months out of this guy then it's all good isn't it?

Personally, I think Crouch will move on in the summer. That would, potentially, leave us with Olic and Odemwingie, both classy 'older' players with, hopefully, a bit left in the tank. Hopefully, at the other end of the spectrum we'll have Agudelo. If we could sign another good striker in his prime that would leave us with a better 4 man strike force than we currently have at a relatively low cost as three of them (the 2 O's plus Agudelo) having cost bugger all and if the 4th striker were, for example, Diouf, he'd have cost no more than a signing on fee.

So if he does come when would he sign and play for us? This season? If so there is a possibility that he signs plays a few games then SCFC could be in the Championshio. There goes his Premiership dream? If not this season, why would he make a decision before our Premiership place is confirmed for another season.
