I think if Hughes really wants him, we'll get him.
Olic himself has stated he would love to be in the Premiership.

Been saying we need someone to support Crouch, or alongside him in a 4-4-2, think he would be the perfect player! Go get him Hughes!

I hope Hughes just comes out and says we've moved on. Given our progression this second half of the season i think we could attract some younger blood.

It could just be that he is being honest.
i.e. he is genuinly torn between staying at Wolfsberg or signing for Stoke.

If i was up rooting my family,i would want to know that i would be playing most weeks. He has a big decision to make.I can see his point of view. If i was uprooting my family, i would want to know if they had oatcakes, or at least a decent pie. He has a big decision to make. He should speak to my ex wife and family.

Me too really. He seems completely torn, more so now he's starting regularly again for Wolfsburg and they've relented and matched the length of contract Stoke were offering. He's settled at a big club in Germany, got another sniff at Champions League next season, wife and kids settled. But he can't shake the intrigue, with pretty much exactly the same financial pay day, of the prospect of a final hurrah playing against Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd etc. When it comes down to it, you'd think the conservative staying put option will just win out for the sake of his family?

From a footballing perspective its obvious he would relish the new challenge in the Premier League As a father of children that clearly want to stay in Germany hes crazy uprooting them for 2 years if he intends to settle in Germany long-term. Its one thing moving abroad a couple of years for yourself or with a wife. But its a different kettle of fish to take a family. Hes gonna be pre-occupied with that. Best he stays where he is in my book.

It's a no brainer for most people isn't it FM? You stay at a big(ish) club with European football and a decent salary. The fact that he's even considering a move to the Premier League at this stage of his career makes me think he'll come. And it'd be a brilliant signing for a club like us.

Very refreshing to see these type of comments. Seems like a genuine bloke from what I have seen/read on him. Would offer us something different and be a fantastic coup for the club, regardless of his age class is permanent and he oozes it. I would like us to sign a young up and coming striker as well that we can spend time bringing through with PC, olic and PO our strike force would hit 100 years old combined Sent from my C6603 using proboards

Think we need a sweepstake on this, I will go for a confirmed decision by August 31st.

We seem to keep chasing rainbows, unless this is cover for what we really want. Diouf, Olic, who next? Either that or we are making unrealistic offers to unrealistic targets. We need to sort out our transfer team, with or without pizzas. All part of moving forwards and becoming a regular top ten team.

Coates has already intimated that we have drawn up our list of transfer targets. I am beginning to think unrealistic offers to unrealistic targets mantra has come into play and will probably surface itself throughout the summer.
