You'd have to think he's 4th choice after Lennon, Assaidi and Redmond.
Levy must be playing his normal hardball over Lennon and who knows what Assaidi and his agent are up to.

Learned my lesson of writing players off last week (thank you lord Moses). I'll welcome Sinclair with open arms. He'd be more of a like for like replacement for Odem than Lennon would, and he takes a mean penalty.

If Lindsay Parsons rates him, that's good enough for me! SentinelHe also revealed Stoke came close to signing teenage winger Scott Sinclair, now on loan at Plymouth, before Chelsea nipped in to sweep him off his feet a couple of years ago.
"I'd seen him playing for Bristol Rovers and thought there was something special there," he recalls. "We had him and his parents up to the Britannia two or three times, but once Chelsea stepped in we knew we were out of the running."
Telegraph14.41 Mark Ogden has more on Scott Sinclair's possible move to Stoke, plus other Manchester City news:Stoke City are attempting to thrash out a deal to take Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair to the Britannia Stadium. Sinclair, a £6m buy from Swansea in August 2012, has been told he can leave the Etihad after spending last season on loan at West Brom

Would he?
Sinclair plays on the left and Lennon plays on the right (same as Odemwingie).
Moses would have to play on the right if we signed Sinclair.
Although I agree Sinclair would be better suited if we were setting up as 4-2-3-1 than Lennon would be.

Agree I'd prefer any of them over Assaidi to be honest. We've seen what he can do and he's asking for more than we're willing to offer. I'd like to bring in more of an unknown quantity, in terms of what they can deliver for Stoke.

Not saying Scott Sinclair to the Britannia Stadium isn't going to happen but led to believe Stoke have yet to make progress on any player.

Sinclair would add more goals than Lennon. Didn't have a run of games at WBA last season. With a chance to settle and a solid run in the team he would be a quality addition.

We have a few options, and if Sinclair is 4th choice that kinda shows how far we've come!
I'd be happy enough with Sinclair, he should be hungry to prove he is good enough and if he can hit the heights of his season at Swansea he will be a cracking addition.
Hughes has so far had a good reputation for getting the best out of players whereas other managers haven't (Arnie, Ireland etc). Sinclair could be another.

He had 1 good season at Swansea in the Championship and 1 good season in the Premiership, the rest of the career has been a complete flop!

I would rather have a Stuffed Crust Double Pepperoni than Sinclair.
