It was the club who would not extend is contract not the manager, this was the beginning of the end for TP.Instead bet 365 gave Michael Owen a contract for promotion work this is why TP would not play him and it cost him his job. Rubbish ! Pullis used to have the say on all signing, when PC had to ask Bet 365 to bankroll the club they took control of all fiancés remember it does not matter to them how we play as long as we survive its just a business to them so don't be surprised when PC steps down we are sold. Those of you who know who I am can remember my meeting with TP in the Barbican(Plymouth)that he was returning when PC took charge of the club.

Was it Coates' decision to never play Ric in his last season and hang him out to dry on the wing when he did as well. Owen was a Pulis signing IMO.

Apparently he played an absolute blinder. Quoting from their message board 'Never seen a standing ovation like that since the Premier League.'
Miss you Ricardo!

May be the manager was showing the board what we would be like without him.TP loved Ric he saved his career when nobody else would sign him,he was slagged off on this board for spending 500000 on a cripple. When Ric did his night with in the Waddo suite he said that Sunderland wanted him and TS gave him permission but TP blocked it,that sounds like a manager who wants to keep a player.

I know you can't turn the clock back and you have to live in the now and all that but I can't help but think to when we brought Stan back to Stoke from Blackpool when everyone thought he was past it. What that act did was to revitalise Matthews and fire up the crowd, putting 1000's on the gate. Modern football is too cynical and not romantic enough to resign our greatest hero of modern times even though Ric's prescence back at the club let alone on the bench would turn up the decibels and help lift the team. Shall we have a whip round to get Alfie Boe sing "Bring Him Home" at The Brit?
Just daydreaming like.

Where do you get this from,Coates having to ask Bet365 to bankroll the club ? Coates is Bet365.They use the club to offset tax.Just because the old man is not running Bet365 on a daily basis ...his children are.....don't get the impression he doesn't have a big say in what goes on.

Ricardo Fuller is a better player than any other attacking player we currently have at the club.
It is that simple. It makes my heart bleed watching Crouch, Walters and KJ whilst knowing that Ric is producing magic elsewhere.
What a player he was. What a player he is. This current lot aren't fit to lace his boots. Never have been. Never will be!

Letting him go was the most disgraceful decision this club has made in years! He could easily walk into our side now. And to think we replaced him with Michael Owen ffs Letting Ric go was fair enough; remember none of the other 19 Premier League teams thought he was worth a contract so there was de facto consensus that his Premier League days were behind him. BUT replacing him with Owen was a disgraceful decision. No matter what Ric was capable of, there is no doubt, for that season, he was capable of more than Owen. Letting ric go wasn't fair enough. The bloke asked for two years but we would only offer one when for years we've kept shit on the books! Ric had done more than enough for this club to get what he deserved but he was shit on. The lad could still do a job now for us even for half hour it would still be more than what the majority of the shit we have could do

I don't disagree about the level but it should be Walters and Crouch bumming it down there not Ric. He could still do a job for us even now. I watched him v Ipswich the weekend we played Swansea and despite playing with a hobble, for 67 minutes, he was the best player on the pitch. When he went off, Blackpool fell apart!

You're right that Bet365 have always bankrolled the club since PC came back but the tax loss stuff is nonsense. Bet365 is a business getting 20% relief on losses and kissing goodbye to the other 80% does not appeal to them which is why Denise has pulled the funding.

Not Premier quality anymore. He's found his level... Too emotional in here. Ricardo has more Premier League quality in his forskin than Crouch,Jones,Walters & Jerome put together !!!!!!!!

I agree Ric could do a job in the prem, it's just that all 20 clubs in the league don't know what they are doing. Amazing isn't it.

Not Premier quality anymore. He's found his level... Too emotional in here. We're simply overflowing with Premier League quality forwards at Stoke aren't we? Nope, but that doesn't mean Fuller is good enough anymore, unfortunately.

To think that we refused to give ric a two year extension whilst keeping such loads of utter hopeless useless shit on our books is truly truly painful. Just imagine what ric could have done this year in games such as against Norwich when both the team and the crowd needed a lift. Who else could give such a lift ? Edu ? Ness ? Shea ? None of the useless shit we have on our books and whom we have so stupidly and foolishly preferred to ric

Benitez bought Fowler back to liverpool at the end of his career and it made him very popular with the fans
Maybe Hughes should take note...

I wish we could just have him back for a short period. Can we buy him off Blackpool please?
Whoever's decision whether TP or PC to let him go was absolutely mental. We still had bloody Delap on our books after he left albeit Delap was loaned out but Fuller deserved another year or so, would have loved him to finish his career here.
Sadly I don't think we will ever see him at the brit again, not even to watch us in years to come and it's a shame.
Was he at the 150th anniversary?

Give B'pool KJ even if its for 1 year or even two, Fuller would get us up out of our seats yet again.

Watch the second goal highlight, completely skinned the defender before slotting into the net.
