Our board are more interested in seeing some money come in and some players going out at the moment.
We have a huge squad, but only a handful of players good enough for this level.
I agree he's a cracking player.

No harm in registering an interest, Im sure the likes of all the mentioned interested teams will and stand a decent chance of signing him so what makes us different?
So what if Napoli are interested. That wont stop the likes of Newcastle and Villa making enquiries.
Id be disappointed if we were interested but threw in the white flag because he wasnt dirt cheap to sign. Brilliant player.

Newcastle and Southampton would blow us out of the water wages wise, no chance.

I could maybe see him coming here on loan for the rest of the season if Spurs didn't want to sell him, but otherwise I think he'd hold out for a team in European competition somewhere in the world.

I agree he's a cracking player. I totally agree with your sentiment here. Fewer, better players is the way to go for clubs of our size in the Prem, and that has become even more imperative with the new wage cap rules linked to club income. But try as we might we can't seem to move in this direction. I guess like any organisation day to day pressures (not going down and killing the golden goose) throw the strategy off track. No one said it would be easy, but we must get there or face the consequences

This is just day dreaming. He won't come to stoke for sure. Napoli and almost all the other teams you mentioned are way ahead of us in the pecking order

would like him at everton would be a good replacement with the felliani money, Dembele, Barkley and McCarthy would be a good central midfield 3. Levy is a cunt to deal with though would be touting him around for silly money.
