With another Sunday fixture for us it is the opportunity to pop down to Newcastle Town who are at home to high flying Halesowen who number in their team Neil Mackenzie who played a few first team games around the time of Brian Little if I remember rightly.
A few of you enjoyed the day the last time this opportunity arose to watch some decent football and a couple of beers so I thought it worth mentioning. The price is a very decent £3 to Stoke season ticket holders on production of your card.
Castle's young side are improving and have recently added former Stoke youth team player Tom Urwin. Should be a decent afternoon.
Other non-league games are available

Women are murder when the painters are in lads You have my sympathy These lads have to learn that married life is all a trade off Mick. Their trade off choice this afternoon is a day with a paint brush resulting in contented won the day wife v a lads afternoon at the footie with a few beers resulting in a brief period of sulking from the wife who has been educated in priorities!

Didn't Neil Mackenzie start posting on the Old Oatcake site or is my memory really beginning to go ? TWD I think you might be confusing that with him being stalked by a female poster back in the day who followed him when he went to Mansfield and regularly kept us up to date with his whereabouts. I might remind him of the experience later

Also thoroughly enjoyed the day out and for £3 it was a bargain that is worth repeating when opportunity next presents itself. Lodgey certainly has Castle knocking it around the deck well and with some purpose too. Perhaps Mark Hughes should have a word with him about how to transition to a more expansive system effectively! Sarge regarding sulk duration: Given that I enjoyed the game so much and the clubhouse beers so much I stayed on to watch the Norwich v West Ham game. I may be having to gauge a more extended sulk format and will report back once I get back out of the dog house.

Mr Wolstanton, I thought 'The Duke' did post on here but I'll bow to your superior memory TWD More likely that the stalking stuck more than Neil's contributions twd unless you are "Duke" Mackenzie himself in which case my memory is shite and how come you were left bench warming all game? Given Halesowen could hardly carve a decent chance out all afternoon (the offside goal doesn't count)the Neil M I remember would have been ideal for them.
