I dont think your a cock, I know whereyou're coming from. Being a season ticket hold for 14 years I think its funny that all of a sudden the gates go bumper, but I dont begrudge them coming, as I personally prefer a packed stadium, and think the players do too.

Not fair to be over critical. I think it is very selfish to wish it all just for the select few at colchester.... although we all want the result to guarantee promotion sooner rather then later. How do you know that a few "fair weather" fans are not going to the colchester match? It would be nice for people to know we are promoted on Sat and the next week push forward to be champions I would like new fans to start coming....... new fans means more money, a larger fan base, an increase in future fans as they bring their kids and grandkids instead of going to "bigger" clubs. Success breeds success.....

My thoughts are Hull 0-0 and we win 6-0. Goal difference out the window and we are up.

And stand by my 10k glory hunter comment, When we were in division 1 we were getting about 9k, when we were in championshipship around 14k average over last few years, now because of peoples circumstances some people turn up some weeks and some dont so i'd like to think we have around 16k in regulars.....we've sold out for the last game, 28k if im not mistaken, 2k for away fans and if you take away the spare segregation seats that leaves 10k in tickets sold to people who probably havent even considered coming to the brit in the last 5 or 6 years....now all of sudden were on the brink of something good they all turn up....maybe glory hunters is a bit too strong a term, how does fair weather fans sound? I'm sure someone will correct me on my maths and seats etc now but i estimate on next sunday we will have 9 to 10k of fair weather fans in that stadium and going back to my original post i would like like to share the promotion party with a higher percentage of what i'll call bad weather fans, yes i know that not all bad weather fans can attend on saturday but i'd like to think that a high percentage of the fans on saturday are....Yes its selfish and yes its silly but and no it holds no real logic as i want all the fair weathers in the ground each week in the prem but i just want to get promoted without sitting next to someone who keeps saying..."who's that...who's that....is that fuller.....is that simmo..." Im off to the hotel now in Colchester so hope ive explained my point and you can all call me a cock now without me replying ;D A true fan would not stay in a hotel you glory hunting fair weather 5* luxuary wannabe. A true fan, a true 'bad weather' fan would get up on the morning of the match and hitch hike - only accepting lifts from red or white vehicles registered in North Staffordshire.

FFS ........ some people are dense (derogatory word I last used in school ;D) on here.
Surely there's a correlation between success and attendances ! I'm sure that if we had a big enough stadium and played in the champions league we could get 40k .... what percentage of those would be real stokies / glory hunters ?

I sat in the freezing cold when we were in the second division, I was there when we got relegated by Man City, I was there when Vale beat us with a very very late penalty in the LDV vans trophy, I saw us get thumped by Liverpool, I saw us draw at home with nuneaton but I won't be there saturday!
But I don't give a crap because if we get promoted on Saturday then I'm gonna get wasted!

Whats brassed me off is I have been every home game this season and have done for the past five years or more. Before that I was a student and found it hard to afford to go the games. I have been to most away games this season on the official slumber travel of Stoke city (usually coach 1 or 2) and now the game that I really want to go is unavailable for me because I don't have the necessary stubs, season ticket to go to the game. So now I am having to watch it on the big screen down the Britt. How many glory hunters have gotten tickets off season ticket holders. Fair play I know theres only 900 tickets but some true supporters have genuinly missed out here.

Yep getting drunk really is the answer ... It helps with pre match nerves, and I was so drunk after the palace game, I was quite blase' about the result.

This, surely, is purely subjective and is enirely linked to an individuals circumstance. i.e it doesn't necessarily mean, although it helps, that you have to have attended every game. Also, to repeat a comment meade elsewhere, it won't be 'glory hunters' that attend. It will be those that have a strong and passionate interest in Stoke City and that, shock horror, have only watched 50% of the games this season. Strangely these people also would like to watch their club possibly get promoted - they are not fucking glory hunters!!

Fact of the matter here is that you didn't get your ticket quick and some not s 'true fans' as you refer to them have managed toget one. What you need to remember is that these people going will be just as elated as you when we go up and they will be jumping up and down and screaming as loud as the lot of us when we go up! Its unfair for you to consider yourself as more of a true supporter because you have been to more games, this could be classed as financial support but its support in its entirety is it - well its not in my opinion anyway! Yes, I can understand you're dissapoionted but don't begrudge those who've got the chance to go and support the team! We can all enjoy the Leicester game together anyway!
