Potentially we will be selling Arnie to a really big club next summer. He is clearly much better than the fee we paid for him. He would not look out of place at a Champion's League team on his recent form. If he wasn't a nutter he wouldn't be here. Hopefully not! In my view it´s better for Arnautovic to stay longer than a year at Stoke. Yes of course - he got the potential to be a part of a bigger club but his focus should be adjust on the consistency. He have to make the most of possible appearances during a longer period. And stoke give him this opportunity! After 2-3 stabilized years he can also change the club if he want (He did an interview in austrian tv, where he had explained that stoke was a good choice if you want to earmark yourself for a better club - which is in my opinion fully legitimate if you have these skills). And yes, the transfer fee doesnt reflect the quality you got! I did a post a few weeks before where i had explained why Arnautovic was able to transfer for less his value. Maybe you are interested in. Here is the link oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/post/4018890/threadStoke did a great job with the signing. His value is around 6-7 million €. If he is going to play well the next year(s), his price is getting higher and higher. And if you have to sell him you can expect 10-15 million € Not bad for a 2,6 mio bargain or? ;-) But i think one of the most underated player is Asmir Begovi?. He did an outstanding performance this season. I´m afraid that he is going to change to a club with a higher reputation. The worst thing what can be happen, ist that Begovic & Arnautovic are leaving the club next season Overall, i have to say that i am very happy with the performance from Marko Arnautovic during the Season. His paralanguage seems to be the fully oposite than before at Werder Bremen (No wonder - What goes around, comes around - Werder Bremen needs a scapegoat for their bad performance the last years....and marko is a player who needs the trust from his environment) I think i has not promised too much about Arnautovic. Marko could be gold for Stoke ;-)

When we signed him, there were lots of comments about how similar he was to his friend Balotelli and that the guy is nuts. As of yet he hasn't shown any of this bad/tainted side and if he can continue on like he is, showing the footballing talent he blatantly has, we may as well enjoy his performances whilst we can!

Just need someone of the same ilk on the right now. How is that Hunt lad? Do you mean Aaron Hunt from Werder Bremen? Shut up and SAVE the money :-D He is quiet a good player (good passing skills)...but he also needs some good players around him (best example, last year 28 games, 11 goals 6 assits - teammates: Arnautovic, Kevin de Bryne, Eljero elia with aaron hunt massive offense construct; this season 10 games, 0 goals 1 assists - teammates: eljero elia) Think Aaron Hunt needs the good teammates more than the other good teammates needs him! And he have to leave the pitch after 60 minutes. after that he is playing a lot of misplaced passes! Ok true....instead of J. Walters hunt would be an option ;-)

If Arni had as often began in the starting line up of Werder Bremen as Aaron Hunt, Stoke had to pay a few miilions more, to buy Arni.....i am not convinced of Hunt...Arni is the better One!

I hope, Hughes has now realized, which position is most suitable for Arni. Thomas Schaaf needed 2 years for this "brilliant insight"

We are a bigger club! We should start to retain our better players and we will grow even bigger. We are not little old Stoke, we are a founder member 150 years old and should be rightly proud.

What was his celebration like? He just jogged off like nothing had happened. Immense talent.

Getting better every game. Keep him fit and happy, and if he keeps his head down too, what a bargain we could have!

Best individual performance by a Stoke player since Tuncay in the snow. What a player this guy is. Most talented player we've had in years. Can we keep him? Also worth noting Walters is fucking shit and isn't fit to lace Arnie's boots let alone play on the same pitch as him. The Austrian is our only hope at the minute. We were great while he was on the pitch but it was a really poor decision by Hughes to bring Wilson on and not Assaidi and it ultimately cost us as there was no outlet. Huge game next week. you really have got to let this obsession with Tuncay go, he isnt fit to lace Arnie's boots. Arnie is a top class footballer not a headless chicken with the occasional trick.

hes gradually getting better, still a lot more to come from him if he is to become a stoke legend, 2 goals in 7 or 8 games is a okish return, needs to get rid of the bobby charlton hair cut though

He really does look an absolute steal for the price we paid for him. As soon as he went off yesterday we looked awful the same on Saturday.
His technique and ability to beat a man at ease is fantastic to watch. However he does love to get involved with handbags and I worry sometimes that he's going to be sent off.
I thaught he worked quite well with crouch last night but sometimes he isn't on the same wavelength as Arnie. Quality finish again from him last night and long may it continue. ARNIE ARNIE ARNIE

Marko Arnautovi? vs Manchester United What a cracking find, thanks for that. I've been on a downer since RF 10 left the club, but it now looks like we've found another gem to fill the No. 10 shirt. MA 10 = legend!

He looked a world beater against United but i have a couple of concerns.
Firstly his fitness, against Norwich he was on his haunches after 70 minutes, and against United after 40 minutes (though i hear he vomited on leaving the pitch so maybe he was sick?)
Secondly, how do we get him in the game more at home. V Norwich he was stuck out on his own on the left, and we seemed to insist on rolling it out to Shawcross on the right. He was never in the game until Ireland came on which may prove to be a persistent problem if teams continue to set up cautiously at the Brit
