Were we booing him today? If so I don't have any problem with him giving some back to us.

So your response to classlessness is......?
Classlessness!
We should be trying to close this episode, not extending it!

As I posted on another thread, funny how none of the pundits mentioned Ramsey leaving Walters in pain on the turf when he ran off to celebrate his goal without even a glance to see if he was ok? Surely someone who allegedly suffered such deep psychological scars from his own injury would care somewhat about a fellow professional rather than goading fans who hadn't even bothered to boo him? Oh wait, nope. Vile, vile, classless little runt.

Instead of booing Ramsey, how about going fucking mental every time Shawcross touches the ball? It gets the point across, without making us look like the classless wankers we're accusing Ramsey of being.

Why don't we sarcastically clap Ramsey everytime he touches the ball rather than boo? The classless twonk will not comprehend the irony, and the media will hopefully commend us and then be made to look like the complete f+*kwits they actually are?

The mans a bell end.
He's making the whole episode the corner stone of his career.
In 10 years it'll be 'remember Ramsey, that bloke who had his leg broken' instead of focusing on his football.
Agree with the thread title, utterly classless.

I don't like Ramsey, but I thinnk we are being a bit precious about the celebration. Ramsey is not liked by the Stoke fans, he knows it, and took his opportunity to bask in his goal. Just like Downing did at the Brit a few years ago. We Stokies can dish it out, but don't half moan when we get it back.
Also, had Shawcross scored, I certainly would not be surprised to see a similar gesture, he has done it before, and he would have every right to ram a goal at the Emirates down the throats of the Arsenal tossers. I wouldn't call him a 'classless prick' for doing so - but I'm sure the Arse would.

The guy just seems very far up his own arsehole. I imagine in 60 years time there'll be a documentary:
The Aaron Ramsey Story - Featuring Aaron Ramsey as Aaron Ramsey, written by Aaron Ramsey, directed by Aaron Ramsey, produced by Aaron Ramsey.
First scene, Aaron arrives on a white stallion looking somewhat like Russell Crowe in Gladiator.

I think we had moved on but the Ramsey and the Aresnal fans proved yesterday they hadn't but thats up to them but it guarantees him a reception at the Brit where I'm sure Stoke fans will be slated for abusing 'the victim' in all of this. It's getting fucking boring now but even today most match reports have had to mention 'that tackle', therefore the media are to blame for prolonging this drama as much as anybody.
Move on.

Looking at it from another angle.....I've had the same injury as Ramsey playing football had and its really hard not to be bitter about what happened, irrespective of whether it was meant or not.
Also looking at it from the media/arsenal cock suckers point of view.........I think that the consensus has been that he's been in terrible form since coming back from the injury. Therefore reminding evyerbody of the injury gives him almost an excuse and it buys him a sympathy vote almost. Now hes back in form, the injury can still be mentioned because hes finally turned a corner.
Basically the media will mention it for the rest of his career now, because it means they can still label stoke as nasty and they can also big up someone whos come back from adversity.

No matter what the reason for his fingers on lips bollocks was, the little welsh cunt just can't let it go can he? Yes it was a terrible injury, and an accident but he moans when he gets booed at stoke and then carries on the shit by making an issue about it by his cuntish celebration. For me the only person who deserves to come out of any of this with any credit is Shawcross. Them southern shit stains boo him, he offered an apology and wenger and Ramsey said fuck off and every game at stoke and arsenal when we have played he has been a model pro. For his actions today and his cuntish behaviour, I will boo the fuck out of the knob. Not because he deserved the injury, because he didn't. Pure and simply because of his shit attention seeking behaviour today. The press and the commentators don't help matters either. LET IT FUCKING GO GOR FUCKS SAKE!!!! I will let nothing go Cilla, not now. I'm going to aim as much abuse at everyone and everything connected to Arsenal FC when they come to our place. Vile will not be the word....my fury will only increase until we play them.

Has anyone bothered to find out why the classless, immature little boy is booed? These journalistic super sleuths seem to think "Day boo im cuz Shawcross broke iz leg innit?" linkI don't know if there has ever been a more deserved "shhh" celebration than Aaron Ramsey's against Stoke on Sunday. In 2010, Ramsey suffered one of the more horrific injuries seen on a soccer pitch. He was back with Arsenal the following season, but according to Arsene Wenger, it has taken him three years to recover, mentally, from what happened that day at the Britannia Stadium.
Sunday he scored his seventh goal in all competitions (from just eight shots on target!). He peeled off after volleying in Mesut Özil's free kick deflection, ran past the cheering Arsenal fans off toward the visiting Stoke fans, and put his fingers to his lips.
Football fans do a lot of nauseating things, but Stoke supporters booing Ramsey when he has played against their team has always rubbed me the wrong way. How do you boo a guy who almost lost a leg on a football field? I admittedly pay a little too much attention to goal celebrations — whether they're over-the-top or muted — but I defy anyone, outside of Stoke, to find much of an issue with Ramsey's. If I were him I probably would've shown Stoke fans a different finger.

I still live the idiocy of people claiming we boo him because he broke his leg.
Do they think Stoke fans watch the paralympics booing everyone in sight?

It's just narrative for the X Factor generation, as Mystical Descent alluded to the other day.
There's a whole generation of popular culture consumers who buy into whatever story is placed before them.
Aaron Ramsey could just as easily be the boy who had a stutter and got picked on at school, but fought off his nerves to sing on the stage in the X Factor final. He's the boy whose family drowned when the Titanic sunk, but he fought off the tears to swim to safety, and launched a career as a top lawyer. He's the boy whose leg got shattered by a horrendous tackle by an evil opponent, and then got booed as he fought his was back to full fitness, but scores a goal against the very nasty people who booed him.
Sadly many fans are too lazy to care how much of the narrative is actually true, they just enjoy their fix of poor-downtrodden-boy-come-good. And generally the writer just writes what the people want to read.
