Proven I have a coaching badge and I said after Liverpool he should never play again for Stoke as professionalism allegedly his redemption was awful . Technically he can run slowly for a long time a hygiene factor only at this level , he is a liability in both boxes , his finishing is woeful , his marking awareness worse , his passing non existent, his pace ponderously slow I know the game at a decent level and he would never play in the premier league again for me A coaching badge hey; I'd imagine that there are a couple of people with coaching badges down at the club and they seem to disagree with you. Clearly they did an easier coaching badge than you.

I'm a fit lad and I could run around solid for 90 mins. I'm also shit at football. If offer nothing good to. Stoke at all, just like Walters, he is very lucky to play in the prem, If he was a reserve Player I could accept that. But at best he's a championship player. We've gotta have the worst attackers in the league,, Walters is a headless chicken, Crouch has forgot where the net is, jones only finds his form when there's a contract in sight for him.

Complete shit, as soon as I hear his or Adam's name I know we'll lose the ball Weird, I thought his ball retention was generally quite good today. He was too slow so couldn't take advantage of some of the half chances we crafted, but I find the Walters-hate a bit excessive. I think he's decent, but I could understand starting Pennant ahead of him.

Posted lots of time. Great performance if he is a midfielder but no threat as a striker - he really has to be a squad player. Assidi the only one with pace ans needs to be in that right forward position instead. This will come up again on Knot FM again tonight, and needs putting to bed, ABSOLUTLEY NO THREAT AT ALL.

He's started falling to the ground a lot recently to try and win freekicks. He fell down holding his ankle after the first goal which was a poor attempt to try and cover up his defending. Whenever he gets the ball it completely slows down the pace of the game and you can guarantee it will always be passed back to the right back. I think if Assaidi played instead we would be a completely different side and would be able to stretch sides with a threat coming from both flanks. Some of the balls for him to run onto down the channel we're embarrassing because you knew that there was no chance of him catching up before he'd even started running. If Hughes wants to play him away against the bigger teams for his work rate then fair enough. But against middle of the table teams we need to play the likes of Assaidi and Pennant ahead of him.

I had this discussion with Paul Spencer earlier in the week but truth is, whilst I wouldn't have him anywhere near my side, to date, I can see why Mark Hughes has.
Surely, after today, Hughes will see that despite the hard running, Walters is actually a liability both defensively and from an attacking perspective. He was culpable for 2 of the 3 goals today and was caught out in exactly the same way as he has been so many times in the past. He works really hard but he has no footballing brain at all and is at least half a second behind with his reaction time to almost every situation that occurs on the football pitch.
Walters was absolutely shit today and his wankness was only overshadowed by a David Rowsonesque performance from Charlie Adam.
Loads of positives from today and some very worrying negatives and for me those negatives are the performance of Adam and the continued wankness of Walters. It's costing us at both ends of the pitch and we aren't getting the rewards our play really deserves.

I thought the same thing about him grabbing his ankle. It could be that he's actually not completely fit, but then he has no business playing

He was obviously (as you correctly say) at fault for the first and third goals Dave but when you watch the highlights back - just what the fook is he doing for the second goal? My son said to me at the time, the look on Walters' face is one of a footballer who has never defended a corner before - just what exactly is he doing? He offers absolutely nothing in either box - a complete liability.

Indeed mate but he had less to do with the 3rd than the other 2.
He is absolute rubbish and as you say a complete liability. He is costing us points at both ends of the pitch and it is time for his run as a regular in our team to be brought to an end.

Anyone who knows football will understand why he generally starts. Football Manager players and those who have never played to a decent standard simply won't get it. Fact. Spot on. Not a world beater by any means but you allways know what you're getting from him. Seem's to be an easy target for the boo boys. If anybody looked off today it was Charlie i'd have said

He's not an easy target though is?
He runs around a lot but his running achieves nothing. He gives fouls away in stupid positions. He is poor defensively and he offers nothing going forward. Every time the ball goes to him, he invariably loses it.
As you say, if it was for Charlie "David Rowson in disguise" Adam, Walters abject performance would have been all too obvious for everyone to see.
He simply isn't good enough and whilst he was pretty shocking himself, KJ has to spearhead our forward line alongside Arnie and one of Etherington/Pennant/Assaidi.

Oh btw i was joking about Walters, every team needs a work horse and honest Joe but he should be on the bench. I'd like to see Arnie start again, Ireland for Adam and Pennant for Walters. Keep the rest the same and 3 points should be on the board next week.

TP picked him because he was a stubborn fool who in the end, didn't know his arse from his elbow. Mark Hughes has picked him a) because he hasn't had other options in a 4-3-3 and b) because despite his misses, he was the only wide forward option who has had goalscoring opportunities. Unlike Pulis, however, I'm pretty sure that Mark Hughes knows that he needs to replace Walters and am confident he will do just that given time. I had the very same discussion with PaulSpencer last week but with performances like that, I have every faith that Mark Hughes will replace Walters in our starting 11. I called it right this week, with Arnie in for Ethers and Walters keeping his place, and I suspect that against Norwich our front 3, fitness permitting, will be Arnie, Jones, Etherington, unless of course Assaidi steps up to the plate v Tranmere with a performance that means he can't be left out of the starting 11. It is only a matter of time before both Adam and Walters are replaced in our regular starting 11. It can't come soon enough for me. Both of them are toss and offer the best part of absolutely nothing. Both are liabilities and do more for the opposition than they do for us.

I've always been an Adam supporter, but he was shocking today. I can literally barely recall him passing to a team mate? He looks overweight too. Today was strange, it felt like a better, more competent performance, despite several players having an off day and us losing 3-1. What Hughes seems to be trying to do still feels right though.

Never played to a decent standard unless lads n dads counts ;-) Like i said he's no world beater but he is probably our best option in that spot atm. Do i think he's good enough? He will do for now and imagine MH will replace him at some point with a better option. Why would two consecutive managment teams play him? There must at least be a little something there if he gets picked over pennant and assidi

Where does Walters play?
What does he lack?

Struggling to think if he brings anything to the team now, his man for two of the goals, too slow to ever run In behind or take on a man, never wins a header anymore, no composure in front of goal. Time for a change. Apart from that he was superb in people's eyes..he is a liability in Both boxes! Complete joke at this level...Fact!

What fantastic timing and an excellent opportunity for Assaidi or Pennant to push Walters out the starting xi for Sunday. Be interesting to see who he puts out against Tranmere. Hopefully something that along the lines of: Soro Cameron Huth Shawcross Muniesa Assaidi Nzonzi Ireland Wilson Arnie Jones I genuinely don't know what we can do with this dire striker situation. We have an awful selection in Jones, Crouch and Walters. None of them are anywhere near prolific enough and the sooner we can get through to January the better in many respects. That said at least we now have some excellent options out wide in Arnie, Pennant and Assaidi. Also worth noting Assaidi potentially offers a goal threat (something we don't have). Scored 1 in 4 for Heerenveen admittedly in a worse league but he at the very least knows where the goal is. Walters wasn't prolific in league 1 let alone the premier league

Walters gives 110 percent every game that's why he gets in the team. Unfortunately for him and more importantly Stoke, he is not good enough at the level we want to achieve. Sorry to say this but he needs to be taken out of the firing line of all the knockers and let someone fresh show what they can do.
