Obviously have a firm opinion of Stoke fans that can't/won't pay £40 per game prices. Obviously have no bloody clue about people's reasons why they are unable to attend but, certainly have just the sort of arrogant, judgmental and frankly distasteful attitude towards fellow Stokies. Clearly, the atmosphere might have been far better if you hadn't attended today. But I will be there what ever league we are in just like the last 50 years Wow, round of applause - what a hero. Normal logic would be that fans stop following when a club drops down the leagues. In case you hadn't noticed, we're still in the top tier and there are thousands who do just what you enjoy doing. The fact is, you couldn't care less what people's reasons are. You simply want to put down those that don't attend, for whatever reason. But, hey, that's fair enough - you know what you are.

You can't have it all ways. If we want Stoke to have a competitive side we need a competitive income. Other places seem to attract enough people at these prices, but Stoke as a city can't or won't.Very poor show today. Think you will find many of the smaller clubs in the prem don't charge £40 minimum for a ticket (for high cat games) and even more not selling out. The proof is in the pudding - I gtee there will be more Stokies there for the home game against Norwich in two weeks....... Maybe a ceiling price for the Boothen should be a lot closer to £25 than £40. I agree that ticket prices for those who cannot attend on a regular basics are high. But as fans we keep wanting the club to grow by signing better players, the problem is with the new FFP rules is you can only spend a certain percentage of your income,so if we dropped the prices we would not be able to sign better players.

£40 a game, or £400 a season ticket. There's a minimum 6 premium games a season at £40 = £240 means the remaining games are about £12 each over the season. It really is a no brainer.
I appreciate all the reasons/excuses people cant go to games, but for me (I work shifts all year)there is no reason not to have a season ticket if you are going to attend the majority of games.
Like others say, save, prepare and go for the season ticket and if, like others you prefer a £30 Merlin pass go for that, but don't come on here moaning

Stoke will probably fill some of those seats after Christmas when the 'half season' tickets are on sale, and that will also give a route to early bird price renewal for next season. Agreed. I've got a season ticket and there was no way that I wasn't going to renew. However, I can see the dilemma for those who haven't got season tickets or those who can't attend every match. I was with one such friend today who paid £50 for a seat in the John Smith's upper. He can't wait to have a 'Half season' ticket. Perhaps the club should recognise the current empty seats situation and react NOW by offering 'three quarter' season tickets. . ....... Win Win for everyone ?

Your product is too expensive when people aren't prepared to pay what you're charging for it - period.

If there's empty seats then the pricing is wrong, whatever the arguments about supposed fan loyalty.
As Ange has said, the club are seeking to address the problem as soon as...

Same here Ruts, even though I'm now living in Manchester instead of Kent I'm not willing to pay £40, even the childrens prices were expensive, if I had taken my 2 kids today it would of been around £80 ! Just crazy, so we went to Alton towers instead with our Merlin Annual passes that we pay £30 a month for instead.... Big boy league big boy prices, could of got a season ticket for £30 a month.I bet you lot of tight gits would find £70 for a cup finale leaches the lot of you money should never come before your club. The atmosphere was better today because a lot of the plastic fans have now gone. Money should never come before your club Ha ha. Try telling that to a struggling family. You are a wind up merchant, stop fucking whinging at people all the time, calling people plastic, tight bastards, leeches. You go up stoke regular, well done There are some angry nasty bastards on here at times. People can do what they want. For the record, i work weekend shift and have to take holidays to go games, i would have paid the 40 quid today and not had a problem with it but that's because i miss that place, the ground, the matchday atmosphere and for me a day at the match is like a pilgrimage to a place i used to see a hell of a lot more.

Forty odd pounds is too much for any football game. I am glad in a way, that some people refuse to pay this amount. At least it shows that some people have some common sense.

I have a season ticket and miss a number of games a season due to work and I go to church on Sundays. I also live in Preston.
If I had not bought a season ticket this season due to the dross we had to endure last season. There is no way I would pay £40 for a ticket at the Brit for a game.

It's clear that the lost season ticket holders cannot be replaced just yet , I hate category prices £25-£30 flat price seems fair to me , however if we can play like today and add a few goals I'm sure a few more will come

I've never seen so many empty seats for a prem game since we were promoted. BUT, the support was still excellent, great singing and great noise.

Farmer, What a fulfille d life you have if for fifty years, the team has come before everything else. The pricing today was a joke, and it would have made more sence to have tried to get 3000 more people in at £25, than 250 at £47.
