"Scotch is an adjective meaning "of Scotland"." Scotch is a drink. only morons and Americans still think scotch is an acceptable term for Scots, still to be expected. Oh give over. I love a Scotch egg.

In the second half we were much more Stoke-like. Huth and Ryan did less pissing around with it at the back which I think saw an improvement in their performances. The goals could have been from any of our Premeirship years. So we've not changed massively. A welcome three points, a work in progress and plenty of room for improvement. Spot on - like it not this is exactly how it happened

Scotch egg as a term is nothing to do with Scotland. It is a corruption of Scotched which is a term for chopping up meat to tenderise it. People and items associated with Scotland are Scots or Scottish, never Scotch unless it is whisky.

Hansen shows little insight into the game and never has anything interesting to say - time for a change!

Think about the logistics of Alan Hansen actually sitting down and watching eight matches between 5pm and 10pm, as well as rehearsing the show...
It's not his fault, it's lazy work from the producers, who will basically give Hansen his script and tell him 90% of what to say when the cameras roll. If the background lackey assigned to the Stoke v Palace game hasn't picked up on the change of style when watching it live, or hasn't been instructed to look out for it, then that's why Hansen will sit there and tell us that nothing's changed.

Half the problem is the clips they choose to analyse - someone decides on a theme and the comments they make have to fit that theme, as do the somewhat lame graphics - even if they don't show anything much at all.

That's a very good point tbf The people who put the clips together will have been briefed by those above Until last season EVERY opening shot from a Stoke game on MOTD was a Rory throw in

To be fair, Hansen never slatted our style over the last years and also talked us up. Just because he doesn't say what you think you saw how does that make him a wanker? We did mix it up second half and the goals nothing to different that what we seen in the last 5 years. I'm not that bothered 3 points on the board.
