Mcmanaman has just said it was the same players as last year doing the same thing and that If Pulis was still in charge it would probably have been a 0 0 draw, twat.
In my opinion it's looking some what brighter than last year and I'm sure we'll get better. It's clear we need a striker but the team that finished the game would be my starting 11 for sure.
One real positive were the substitutions, no playing for a 1 0 loss, we really went for it in the last ten minutes.
Well done Hughsy onwards and upwards.

Really? That was just as shit as before if not worse. Instead of hoofing it we now just pass it crab like. Defending at times was shocking and the outlet up front was mostly not there. If we don't make any signings we are playing in the champ next season.

Be interesring to see what the betting is for us to get relegated after that game.
In all honesty Liverpool deserved the win but we created chances and our keeper is just different class so you could well be agreaved we didn't get a point.
We MUST MUST MUST sign a at least 2 strikers.

Defence was a shambles and I didn't think we passed it that well. Certainly don't think we were miles ahead of last year but it's a start.

Certainly better but felt that last year the premiership was weak so being a bit better may not be enough.
This team needs at least three new attacking minded players and some cover at centre back.

We were woeful last season. What I watched today gives me renewed hope for the future. We can play better football and todays performance was a marked improvement on last seasons offerings Onwards and Upwards

I was encouraged, we are as different a side as you could imagine us to be but their are also some pretty big negatives. Defensively as a unit we were shocking at times. Some of the passing across our back four was idiotic. We pass it, pretty damn well at times but remain woefully short of pace and genuine guile. The major plus though was that didn't look like a relegation side to me at all.

The stats will show one point at Anfield last season, no points today.
We attacked a lot more, played more attractive football but still failed to score today.
Our attacking style of play will put more pressure on our defence meaning that we may concede more goals. The real measure of improvement is if we can score goals and win matches as well as playing more attractive football.
Ask the same question after the next 5 games

I'm not a Pulis fundamentalist but I'm not going to start tugging myself off after a 1-0 defeat against a team that hasn't beaten us in the last four league meetings. There was plenty of positive signs today but, in my view, it seems many are willing to get excited by improved passing and possession statistics. I'd hate to see us patronised all the way down to the Championship.

The question asked by the OP is pointless.
Firstly how can anyone answer it after one game. Secondly MH has been employed to try and beat 19 other PL clubs, not beat Tony Pulis.
The two managers play different styles of play and both have been successful. MH is here to build on Tone's foundations and try and take Stoke to the next level.
Both men wanted/want the same thing, glory for Stoke, why not just respect them both and stop playing them off against each other.

Liverpool were a far better team than they have been for the last few years, as they are going forward with a manager than is in his 2nd year there. We have a new manager, 1st game and the same players that were there last year under a defensive manager. We did very well and alot of the players took the ball and players on, some of the speed of which the game was played showed some up as having slow feet or minds ( your take ) Our mid field players were a huge improvement over the last few seasons lack of YOU can not push on style from TP. WE played football and we may have lost but this was against a team that was faster and has younger players with a seasons head start on us of evolving :-)

That's like slating Pulis' signings and saying his players couldn't play football!

Undoubtedly, this was better entertainment. Whether that all be enough . . . Too soon to tell against a team that were streets ahead of where the Scallies were this time last year.
