Even Mark Hughes has admitted that QPR was a disaster. Redknapp should have done better, true, but lets not bury our heads in the sand and think that he didn't have his work cut out to turn around a team on 4 points after a third of the season - no matter how much the spend in January. Now he's here I'm all for giving Hughes a chance at Stoke, but I'm inclined to allow a fan of QPR to rant away to their hearts content about our current manager. They deserve too. Hughes was a disaster at QPR. Redknapp has to take a slice of the blame for their relegation as well though. He didn't make any kind of first of keeping them competitive. Maybe, but a far smaller slice of the blame than Hughes, in my opinion. It would have taken something special to halt the tailspin that QPR were in (on and off the field), lets not kid ourselves. If we were QPR fans we'd be giving Hughes' replacement a clean slate to prove himself this season too.

Winning more than four games for someone of his supposed mighty reputation, with a squad that was by no means talentless and in bringing in half a team in January, shouldn't have been beyond him. Other managers have come in and kept teams up with a much smaller budget and a lot less time.

If hoillet is the answer then what is the question?

John Percy...
main factor at the moment is QPR more prepared to sell than loan him out. Maybe Harry wants the £ for Townsend? loan is the preferred option, most probably with view to a permanent. Budget going towards a striker

Wide areas are far more important than a striker and worth spending money on IMO, though not necessarily on Hoillett.

If hoillet is the answer then what is the question? Let's be fair, Hughes isn't a complete nugget, is he? Hoilett is a guy who the Blackburn fans were purring over for a couple of years and saying the world was his oyster. A bad season at QPR and a couple of no-shows at the Brit shouldn't make him a write-off. Hughes knows the reasons behind the QPR debacle, and how Hoilett did there, better than anyone. And Hughes, Bowen and Niedzwiecki also knows their signings this summer are absolutely key to their perception as a managerial team, and maybe their Last Chance Saloon. If they still have eyes for Hoilett, with all that out there, we've got to back them. He has clearly got talent at least *Apologies for youtube overkill!

He would be a better player playing for Stoke, instead of QPR.

Hoilett in my eyes should be the priority! I think he is much better than Sinclair! Hoilett and that winger from Liverpool on loan (Assidi?)and we're sorted on the wings. Then Defoe, Diouf or Sessignon and we'll be alright! Offload Ethers, Kightly, 2 of Crouch, Jones or Jerome and one of Wilko or Shotton.

Phillips due to return to training in the next few days according to the QPR off. siteHave they got any other wingers in addition to SWP and Hoilett at the moment - or will Arry make us wait right up to deadline day? Mind you, Hoilett is said to be out with a hamstring injury for the moment anyway! And Redknapp didn't miss a chance to talk him up. "Junior is struggling for tomorrow,” Redknapp confirmed.
“It’s a shame because he’s been in fantastic form. He really has been outstanding. It’s a blow for us"

Good player is Hoilett. The only questions marks are over his attitude for me.

Of course you might be right mate but, if he could get back to the form he showed at Blackburn (and he's been very good in the last couple of games) he'd be a very good signing. Time will tell because I DO think we'll sign him.

Not sure how anyone can say that Hoilett isn't a bloody good player.
His committment and attitude can be questionable but his ability certainly cannot.

I'd rather we signed Townsend and Moses, but Hoilet is better than any other wing options than we currently have.
Get him (and those other two!) in ASAP.

Think you will find Hoilett will pay upfront rather than on the wing if he comes here.

Think you will find Hoilett will pay upfront rather than on the wing if he comes here. He'll be part of the forward 3, on one wing. Hopefully right, Shea left and a striker through the middle. On another note: This board astounds me though. Screaming we don't sign anyone and the moment we could be close to a player who improves our wings... instantly dismiss them. Jesus.
