His record for Watford was poor before last season though, confidence is alot in football and that could go within a few bad games... How long does form last before it can be seen as skill? The boy's been banging them in for fun since he got out of jail.

Watford have rich owners so they would not let him go cheap, Would rather sign Bent or Defoe as they guarantee goals with service.

Why cant we just go and negotiate something with Villa for Darren Bent?.
Resale value and age maybe against him but fuck me me need a proven goalscorer and not some kiddie with potential right now.

Hat-trick today, 30+ goals last season 25 years old. He knows where the net is for sure and he's very strong on the ball. His past is gone now and I think we should be putting in. 5m+ bid. No, this guy is pretty avarage and wouldnt cut it in the prem. He didnt score 30+ goals, youve exagerated by 33% or more there I`m afraid. Vydra was the man, lightening pace, great finisher. Zola has likened him to Hernandez only quicker and a better one on one finisher.

I'll probably be proven wrong here but Vydra will be a flop for West Brom next season imo (if he gets game time that is).. head on the block.

I wasn't overly fussed when we were mentioned with Deeney previously but after watching him at the weekend he looks like a bargain and I wouldnt be against us bringing him in.
Doubtful it will happen though as Im guessing we are concentrating purely on Diouf.

Just hope the Diouf saga hasn't stopped us looking else where for alternatives.

They are not a gamble though, we NEED goals or we are in for a long old season. Yes they are 30 but for 2 years they will score goals providing they get decent service.

SL&P saying 3 sources have told him, inc one close to the player apparently...and not a clue Rossi, just that he's a good finisher.
This one may have substance gents.

Whatever is happening, and it sounds like we are still looking abroad as well, we are clearly over Hannover's messing us about and onto other targets now. Good to hear.
Also, not sure why London clubs would be Deeney's preference as he's a Brummie (on Villa then Walsall's books), so could move to be nearer home if he came to Stoke.
