Good to see you today Cactus, I'm not a huge fan of XC, but I think running in the mud and cold was preferable to being at Shrewsbury today!! Not at my best today, but a good workout after 3 hard sessions in a week. It's all towards the sub 3 attempt. Was he doing his impression of the dying fly at the end of the race or were you too far behind?

No chance I was going to see anything, he looked like he'd finished, ran a 2 mile cool down, had his tea and got back to the finish line by the time I had!

12.6 miles this morning, legs and feet full of concrete, had no pace at all.
Next week is a big week though - Romsey 5 and first time I've ever raced my (younger) brother

Had the lurgy on and off most of this month, and had a chest infection over the weekend, coughing out yellow lumps, getting well behind on my marathon training, went to the gym yesterday for some strength training but have to cut it short when going dizzy and was told I'd gone white in the face.

Getting another piss poor Saturday of supporting Stoke City out of the way, it was our Club 16 mile run for Manchester today. A problem though! For every time I have ran a marathon a 16 mile run had always been the bad un. No question about it, 16 has always done me so how do I get about this morning quandary today?
By doing 18 instead! 3:01 on a rather crisp Sunday morning

Impressive first mile Samba!
I struggled today, I think getting leathered at the awards evening on Friday definitely had an impact 😂
Still a 5 mile PB, even if not as much as I'd hoped.
