Taking into consideration that some time thief stole 1 hour of my sleep overnight, an early run of 12 miles with someone whose training has been at a constant quicker pace than mine. 1:47 & back in time for cakes of oat, with bacon & cheese. Replacing those lost salts during the run of course 😂 London....I'm just about ready for ya. same for me this morning, a younger lass who is doing London same day as Im doing Vienna, she ran 1 mile to the club, quick 12 miles with me in 1.40, then she's running back home breast feeding her 6 month baby before going out for the final 6. She was telling me on the run about her breasts will be growing bigger during the London run as it will be about 6 hours from a feed .... felonious has met her This is the one where I got the father wrong?

22.5 miles at 8:11 p/m for me today. The longest run in my schedule. Should be next week really but am blood doning on Friday so did it a week early.
4 weeks time we go for real
Right now (4 hours after I finished) every single thing lower than my waist aches

14 miles around Stone and Swynnerton.
First time I've ever run with a club and they took me on some great scenic routes.
Must remember to eat something after long runs though. Crashed and had to have a nap!

21 today along Biddulph valley way, through Fegg Hayes and Tunstall, then Trent and Mersey and Caldon canals to Endon. Painful stuff but a beautiful day for it.

Crashed and had to have a nap! Interesting. I was in a group of six and bumped into a larger group of about 20 from Stone opposite the Darlaston Inn on the way to Bury Bank. I presume that was your group?

This is the one where I got the father wrong? yes, why do you always think it's me the little blonde geordie lass who had the baby with her at the last run? Now there's an awkward thought with Mrs Northy there doing the teas
If I remember correctly she handed the baby over to the partner of the guy I'd run with so I assumed it was theirs
So while we're on the subject how many kids do you reckon you've got in various ports around the world?

The group I met up with yesterday lunchtime did the canal stretch from Stone to Endon to try and replicate a flat stretch in preparation for London.

Two of our group stopped for a pee near to the junction. I was the one who continued running down the main road past your group and turned back to join our group. I was talking to one of your group for a while he was asking which club we were from. I recognised the tall chap at the head of your group who mustered back. Nice club I meet up with a few of the older lads and lasses at the Bournes run on Saturdays which now runs from Fenton Manor.
Kirsty and Jo were kind enough to pace me for the first 9 miles at the Stafford Half last week.

Don't know all of them, but all that I have met have been very friendly. Didn't meet any of your group, but guessing you're a part of Trentham? What's the Bournes run?

There is a breakfast run on a Saturday morning which was set up and hosted by Bourne Sports about 15 years back until the shop was closed last year. Everyone meets at Fenton Manor now. It's a fairly mixed group mainly Stone MM and Newcastle AC but several other clubs and the Tri club as well.

Close, it was 2015 I got a general ballot place, deferred it to 2016 because of injury. Ran last year and was fortunate enough to win my club ballot for the 2017 place.

As with other big city marathons the first couple of miles are pretty congested

Sub 19 at the Parkrun this morning only 5 seconds away from a pb. Cut up twice by an idiot running the Parkrun with his dog
Don't think Northy would have approved

Off to Manchester tomorrow purely on support duties. Our club has about 12 running, so its time to get the flag out & make a hell of a noise for em
Just hope the organisers have sorted the issues out after last year!

I think I'm going to get into running.
Any idea where I can get a proper pair of shoes from? I think there are places that measure your foot arch? If anyone can give me any advice I'd be grateful!

Not knowing Stoke now Basford, I would have said without a doubt Bournes but alas...no more. I would definite though recommend getting you gait analysed so you know your getting the right shoes for you. Lucky for Worcester we have a very good running specialist, but will leave the local rated stores to others closer to you.
