With using my ipod and phone a lot for music its getting a bit boring so have looked into the audible books.
Amazon do a monthly subscription thats 8 pound a month with a book credit but being a lord of the rings fan i was gonna use my next credit for that but they have split it into 8 books, and don't fancy paying for all of them.
Is there any sites that you can get them for free?
PS got Inferno by Dan Brown and has been excellent thus far.

Quite a few historical books about at the mo... I've read all the C.J.Sansom books... The Shardlake series is top draw in my opinion. (Need to be read in sequence though, if anyone wants to read.)

"Winter in Madrid" was quite good too, though I thought the main character was a bit "wimpy"!

For all readers of Historical Fiction , here is a list of authors I would reccomend ( most of them you will probably know )
Conn Iggulden Anthony Riches Ben Kane Simon Scarrow Bernard Cornwell William Napier Christian Cameron Robyn young Jack Hight Mk Hume Valerio Massimo Manfredi
There are many more of course but I read all these and they are first class
Add Robert Fabri and Nick Brown to that list as well

I get my books off amazon , always cheaper than Waterstones ...and if you ever go into Asda check the book shelf , I have picked up some hard backs by top authors at five or six pounds cheaper than anywhere else , its always worth a look

You'll only get out-of-copyright stuff on there though.

Try your local library.
Audiobooks are around a £1 each to loan.
I spend a lot of time on the train and a good audiobook is a brilliant way to relax.
Have to say I have used librivox but I find computerised voices (or some of the dreary yanks they also use) very difficult to listen to.
