It's embarassing for Stoke and Palacios.
We've been done for 8m and 2m a week for 4 years
He's an embarrassment to himself. A professional has a duty to get in the correct state for their work and he has failed miserably. Pity we can't fire him and then sue him for transfer fee and wages.

Palacios is finished. There's no conspiracy, no 'Pulis didn't want him' bollocks. looks that way doesnt it would be some come back

PalaciosWilson Palacios made ??a promising return to the Honduras National Team in a preparation game against Israel in New York , prior to the matches in the CONCACAF qualifying towards the World Cup Brazil 2014. Palacios entered the field after 59 minutes instead of Roger Espinoza and showed good physical condition and good ball skills, despite his inactivity at Stoke City in the Premier League, where he only added 47 minutes this season. He played several games with the reserves team

If hes not fit, surely thats a failure of the club as well as palacios himself? RVD you are way to quick to write him off when really you are not 100% sure what his fitness is like.

It's the player's responsibility to keep himself in shape, isn't it? How am I being to quick to write him off when he's been here two years and rarely looked fit enough to even warrant a place even on the bench? If he was fit enough, he'd have featured more.

Cuvelier unproven at this level, Palacios is history, a motivated N'Zonzi one of the best 3 or 4 players in the team. How about we try and keep him!!!!

They can't force him to work hard in training and they can't control what he eats.

It is the responsibility of both but given for the most part we've had one of the fittest teams in the league for years, what does that suggest to you about where the blame lies? The club can't force him to lose weight or to get into shape whereby he's not struggling to breathe after half an hour.

Whilst I'd agree with you in normal cases,I can't help but feel Pulis is in part to blame for the Palacios fiasco, His mental problems have been well documented, It seems he's fell out of love with football after the death of his brother, If we were gonna shell out what we did for him Pulis should have at least given him a run of games to try and reignite his appetite.

We're not beholden to carry passengers for the sake of it though are we? He's paid to win games, we hadn't got a space in the side to throw away on a bloke doing nothing to warrant one.

When you shell out serious money you should at least try, and the midfield when he 1st signed was very poor anyway so I don't think he could have done much worse. Considering how other players have had ban run of games but still got picked I feel his lack of gametime from Pulis hasn't helped the situation.
I'm hoping Hughes gets him going again/gives him a chance just so we can see 1 way or the other if his career did actually finish years ago.

You should have to earn your place in a team and he didn't. It's that simple.

Plenty of players come off the bench and make a difference. Even when he started, more often than not he was shagged after half an hour. He looked no closer to being fit and didn't look interested in the vast majority of games in which he's featured for us. He didn't bother marking ' left huge gaps and generally looked like a ghost of the player he used to be. The only way to improve match fitness is by playing actual time in games. He never got that under pulis Don't we have a reserve team? He's finished. He'll never play at a decent level again.

What chance Hughes will see something on Mondays return to training? He seemed to do well for Honduras and Les has already given Pennant another chance.

I'd much rather see Cuvelier given a chance playing alongside Nzonzi, than as his replacement.Any questions concerning Flo's chances of making it at Premier League level seem to centre on his perceived lack of physicality,so it may help him to have an enforcer who can also really play beside him.
