Strong words. Is this based on what you KNOW, what you have heard or what you have deduced from hearsay? You don't have to look very hard for evidence. Look at what he said about the Suarez racism case, look at the way he effectively dumped Brighton like a bad date as soon as they outlived their usefulness. That was the Uruguayan way of trying to play the incident down. He sounded a twat yes but you can't beat him with the same stick as Suarez. And so what hes trying to work himself into a better position, its a cut throat business especially in this day and age. Brighton wouldn't think twice before sacking him if things were going poorly, he did a good job with Brighton and gave them a good base to build on, hardly dumping them is he?

I hope he isn't our first choice for manager if we are to get rid of the capped one. Would like to see Chris Hughton here as first choice.

Again it's the timing not the act. Obviously he's going to want to better himself. Publicly washing his hands of them within minutes of a devastating loss is classless IMO. An awful lot seems to be explained away as 'the Uruguayan way'. It had fuck all to do with him and yet he's lecturing us for having standards on racism.

Maybe he wanted that extra player in January like all managers do. Maybe he felt so frustrated on the night that as a youngish, in manager terms manager, he let his emotions run away with him after the game. He's a young manager but he's not a child. Spot on Rob. You only have to read the thread on the Brighton message board to see the word 'immature' used more than once. The Brighton fans are 100% behind Tony Bloom on this one.

I agree with Paul on this one. Didn't he also fall out with Swindon over transfer money? He was also linked with Reading recently. I cant see PC having any part of him. www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/everton-fulham-candidate-gus-poyet-1893586A parting is inevitable with Poyet in the frame for both the Fulham and Everton jobs - and possibly Stoke too if Tony Pulis leaves after a difficult seaso

With him asking to leave, and questioning brightons ambition, the Brighton fans are hardly going to back him are they?

Rightly or wrongly he tried to stick up for an expat, he made himself look a dick but he doesn't stand on street corners burning fucking poppies.

Rob. I think the asking to leave may have swung it for the Brighton fans rather than questioning ambition. That part they would hate him for as it puts Brighton in a bad light and a bit small time when they thought they were Barcelona mark II in the making

Not alone in not liking him doesn't make him a bad manager. No bugger likes mourinho but most fans would take him, except ours of course.

At the moment rob I think I'd take a good manager with a different approach even if he hasn't got the right DNA.
As much as I've backed tone on here its gone too far with some fans now and once it's done that its something waiting to happen at any point if he stays.

Just a question rob, I've seen you post "I'd rather keep pulis" when a few other managers have been mentioned. Who do you realistically think that we could attract to our club? I would honestly say that I would take ANY manager that has been mentioned than endure another season of that quality of "football".

I think it could be bedlam this close season as far as managers are concerned. It makes sense I guess when the top card of the deck falls, the rest will follow especially with the Shit taking on a new manager from another Premier League club. The talk is of Jol potentially moving to Everton, although Neil Lennon is still favourite. This summer could be one of the most amazing managerial merry-go-rounds ever. This inc our club

I like Poyet as a manager, and although it was stupid, I actually think he was slightly misinterpreted on Suarez. He's acted like a wanker here though, and there is absolutely zero chance he'll be coming to Stoke imo.

Im not defending Poyet, he's made himself look a right dick here. Are some people on here maybe getting a little over hysterical because it feeds into some notion of shouting down Pulis' potential successors though? Lets not forget his own track record of fucking over clubs and drinking champagne in his office after getting sacked here, and maybe save the hysterics for another time

There are some nutters on here who'd moan if we tempted Fergie out of retirement because he wasn't Pulis.
Thankfully, they're a very small group of fanatics, but they do keep repeating the same shite.
