It is amazing how many people come on here and state 'how crap', 'dreadful' or even stronger langauge, yet fail to recognise that circa 2/3rds just walked at full time. So that makes 16,000 ish supporters fickle, johnny come latelys or whatever you die hards want to label them - yea right

I left at the final whistle. Nothing personal, not a stance against the footy we've watched this season. I didn't even give it a second thought to be fair, until I've just opened this thread! I'm not a new supporter, not screaming for Pulis' removal and have absolutely nothing against the players or their effort for the cause. To be perfectly honest, I'd seen enough for one day, the ref killed the match early second half and I wanted to get off. I've fucking clapped and shouted my way through a season's worth of below par performances, if players are that precious that they think it's a slight on their characters for supporters to leave the ground at the final whistle, then they need to give their head a shake and buy the season's highlights. If they didn't even think about it, like I very much doubt they would have, having just lost the game, then the supporters who stayed behind should all congratulate each other, safe in the knowledge that you're all far better supporters than those of us who pissed off when the match finished. Well done

Am I really seriously now reading posts from people suggesting that they're better supporters because they chose to stay after the match. Are these people for real? They need medical help as far as I can tell.

Oh dunna start that March. Many along standing Stokie I know refuses to go away and quite a few have not renewed Anyway - who cares if it is new or old, 2/3rds walked out. It tells its own story and the player parade was quick and subdued compared to previuos seasons. I know that some of the players wer taken aback by the number of empty seats

I didn't stay because If I left at full time I was guaranteed a roast beef dinner (with Yorkshire pudding). Easy decision for me.

Well the majority of fans fucked off at full time today. Now I don't know what all their reasons were for doing so, but it certainly looked shit. H

It's amazing really isn't it?
Shouting Pulis Out isn't allowed. Booing or jeering players isn't allowed. Booing the manager isn't allowed. Staying behind for a lap of dishonour is compulsory.
It is ridiculous really. If anyone wanted to show discontent at the end of a very poor season all things considered, I would say that not staying for the lap of honour is just about the best and least disruptive way of showing dissatisfaction.
The team have been the best part of hopeless for much of the season but were clapped off the pitch at the end of another home defeat...a game in which we played well yet mustered only 1 shot on target, 4 in total and only 2 corners.
I left at the end of the game. I applauded the players for their efforts TODAY but didn't have any inclination to do so for their efforts over the season and I certainly didn't want any appreciation of the players efforts to be misunderstood as a show of support for our manager.
If that makes me a poor supporter who should fuck off up the Vale, then fair enough.

It's been pretty lame since that first one after the Wigan game. It's not all down to the football on offer. Things change. Our crowd all left on the final whistle and rushed up to the club. We got there, grabbed a table and placed the Oatcake Apologist of the Year trophy on it and waited and waited some more for you to turn up for the presentation! We were distraught to find you hadn't travelled up with the London Boys! I can't tell you how emotional it had been for us to get the thing off Tazi who had regarded it as part of his household furniture after having won it hands down for the last five years! Then we don't get to hand it over to this years worthy winner. Just think, we had also missed the chance to thank Tone for another fabulous forty point triumph!

Perhaps it was just me, but did it seem like the players took ages to come back out? Usually they go back in and then a few minutes later they're out again. It seemed like they took forever to come back out and I noticed a lot of people waiting and then going "fuck this can't be arsed to wait"
Perhaps it's just me, but it did seem like an awfully long time compared to previous seasons.

I stayed and applauded them all around the pitch both to show my support to the players and also to get a glimpse of the tasty looking wives but was gutted as they did not turn out this year :-)
Pulis looked like a guy that was saying farewell to be honest!

Genuinely not looking for an arguement mate, but I thought the whole thing was over with a lot quicker this year.

Didn't see anything that made me think he was saying goodbye. No lingering or gazing meaningfully into the distance. Looked like a normal end of season stroll round the pitch. The only one who I thought looked a bit that way was Whitehead. Edit : Just seen another post elsewhere suggesting Pulis stayed on the pitch looking around at the end, so I'm probably wrong - I went after they'd all gone past the Boothen.

I saw you in the club, you all looked fairly pissed, I was also unable to purchase an oatcake from my usual vendor outside the Seddons, obviously the Oatcake junta is more keen to watch a juggler before the game than show their appreciation for the lads and our second best ever manager afterwards. Still, he'll be gone in another 7 or so years I'm sure

We are a fickle bunch at times and its a sign of things to come imo. Regardless of the type of football we play unless we reach another cup final a lot of fans will bugger off. Absolute nonsense.

No shock there then We have some very very fickle fans and the embarrassment at the end proved it for me. Paying customers. There has been absolutely nothing to applaud this season for the most part, and hopefully this will send out the biggest message yet to Mr Coates that enough is enough.

The amount of fans that left before and after the final whistle is a good indication of how fucked off with Pulis football. Please leave. Doubt that... All things considered i'd say it's more a mark of the new found support we've gained since we've been promoted. yep was a pretty good championship /league 1 crown left, the real ones!!!

If i wanted to stay i would have. I didnt want to so didnt. Fuck anyone else who wants to tell me what i can amd cant do. No billy big bollocks stopped me in person to voice their opinion, yet they come home and put their keyboard warrior pants on and off they go.... Very sad

I left because we got to stoke at 11 am and we didn't go up on the coach so we had to go and find it.
Bloody good job we did because it left pretty sharp ish too!
There is some real morons on this thread, slagging people off for not staying for the lap of honour? What the f**k?
