Better than the one game the season before under Pulis or the five the year after under you guessed it Tony Pulis. H Or the 20 odd a piece in a promotion winning side? TP, giving youth a chance for the first time in 20 years. He had to as his plan to shit can the academy for new players was vetoed fortunately. H

speaking with a little inside info i do know that young lads ARE picking Stokes academy over the teams you mentioned, and i know of 5 players that have just signed that picked Stoke over Manchester United, why you ask, well its simple, Stokes academy is one of the best in this country. we may not have a historical record of bringing young lads through but that is set to change, a massive push has been made both finacially and mentally to ensure we have some one the best young talent is on our books, with hard work some of these youngsters may well make it to the very top, however we wont see it happen for 8 or 10 years but that is the commitment the club has made. That's good news, how you doing these days? We are going to lose another lad from our club to Crewe, he's just signed, U13 next season, every club in the area has been trying to sign him since he was little, mancs, scouses, and also Stoke. We've got 3 U8 going for trial at Wigan, we have Everton scouts watching our home games most weeks, I think it will take time to get our system up to speed of more established academies

Speaking with similar inside info I did exactly that ten years ago. I then repeated the mistake three years ago when it was Liverpool and several other clubs of note offering scholarship plus pro contract. On that occasion I listened to reassurances from Steve Holland. I'm Stoke through and through and hope no one ever asks me for advice on this subject. Not while the current football management is in place anyway. Not made up. Not bitter. Just a fact.
