I fear for Everton if they go for Martinez, had he been at any other club Martinez would have been sacked years ago Well obviously, if he was at Everton in a relegation battle every year then yes. But he's not been at any other club, he's been at the smallest club in the top flight... By your criteria, Moyes shouldn't be Man U manager because he's not challenging for a Champions League slot with Everton every season?

Malky mackay to Everton, Pulis to cardiff?
I think its a genuine possibility. Think they would go for him given his proven record of staying in the prem. don't think he would hesitate either being a cardiff fan,
Thoughts?
If its already been posted ignore this.

1) they're on the up 2) they play decent football 3) they have money they'd like to be spent wisely
to sum up....no chance!

You can get the ale in then in the club on Saturday. What time we going sunday? I was thinking of going earlier Terry said the same , problem is I have not contacted the coach who may want more for going earlier and I have not spoken to the regulars. It won`t look good if the coach has gone when they turn up. Will not be rushing back will wait for the after match parade etc. I don`t know why they can`t send the old players out at half time when the gound is full unless they are planning it this way anyway.

Mackay to Everton, Pulis to Cardiff and Benitez to Stoke would be like my idea of heaven.
I tend to think that Rafa is some way out of our league but he does have links and contacts at Stoke, has been to our set up whilst out of work, he would be given a substantial budget courtesy of the Coates family and he would have carte blanche to set the club up, the way he sees fit, from top to bottom.
We could be just the project he needs and at times when I dare to dream, I think his seeming pragmatism, alleged negativity at times, combined with a very clear ability to improve players that have good skill sets and room for development/improvement really sets my Stoke City juices flowing.
There is a ceiling as to how far a club like ours can reach and perhaps we have (with the Cup Final and Europe) come very close to reaching it but if Rafa Benitez joined as our manager, my Stoke City dreams and aspirations would be bubbling to the surface again.
Come on PC. You know it makes sense! :-)

Laudrup not in the running according to Sky

Laudrup would cost them 10-12 million..never really been any chance of that happening given the fact that Everton only usually have about £2.69 they find down the back of the sofa which Kenwright then nicks to buy himself and Cilla a pasty!

Quick update......from the same guy who give me the Mackay to Everton info.
He reckons that Benitez is in line for the job......i've taken it with a pinch of salt because the Mackay thing isn't confirmed yet, and also cos Benitez is probably the Stoke fans wet dream!
but from what he's told me.....he's pretty certain that the new gaffer at Stoke WILL be Benitez!
let's just hope that his info is good...........

So is Pulis leaving us? Does he know yet? when he gave me the Mackay/Moyes info, he wouldn't tell me anything about the potential stoke manager, apart from that we would be having a new manager, who is currently in charge of a club......and his words were we would be in VERY safe hands! since that original conversation, he's opened up a bit more and stated that Benitez is the one in line for the job. As a side note, the lad is a Stoke fan and has got as much interest in this as us.......so from a personal viewpoint, i dont see what he would gain from lying.

I know it's possible but I don't have a realistic vision of Benitez managing us

It's possible, but then it's also possible (theoretically) that Miranda Hart might make a funny situation comedy.
Valencia - Liverpool - Inter - Chelsea...SCFC. A natural trajectory for a European Cup winner. I'd luv it (I say I'd luv it) to be at the Benitez household when he broke the news to his wife. Tumbleweed, followed by glinting meat cleaver in pursuit of Rafa's cojones.
Only a guess. Could be wrong.
