How does he get slated by our fans? I think he's absolutely fantastic, and a great game he had today! Well in shotts lad

He gets slated when he's hung out to dry on the wing. He's a good Premier League full back imo and it's where he should only play.

Yet again shotton at right back had a very good game. However like Bayern quite rightly said, it's when he gets hung out to dry on the wing he gets abuse because he is appealing there, but again that ain't the lads fault it's the clown that picks him there

Thought Shotts had a decent game today, I've slated him in the past but thats when he's on the wing.

I noticed when he went to take a throw at The Boothen corner he didn't really get much if a reception, yet if that had been Wilko everybody would've been on their feet. I feel sorry for the guy, a local lad who is maximising himself and he doesn't get the appropriate appreciation.

Play players in there comfort zone and guess what they certainly improve and gain confidence but surely my opinion is wrong because I don't dress from Sports Direct and on 40k a week!!!
Pulis out

The problem, as I see it, is that our fullbacks are now the widest players on the pitch and so they do get quite a bit of time on the ball. In fact, Wilko must have more possession than any other player in some games.
Therefore they have more passes to make and more go awry because they're not the most skilful of players...

I don't think right back is a problem for us anymore.
Shotton is easily good enough for us in that position and Wilko is more than adequate cover.

Seems to be maturing into a decent right-back. He has a bit of pace, which enables him to get back and cover when the opposition get behind our centre-halves, something he has done very well in the last couple of games. Surely TP can see he will never be a right-sided midfielder?? Everyone else seems to know this...

Great game Shotts. Our first choice right back now for sure

Shotton has had 2 solid games in a row to be fair. However one was away against second from bottom, one was at home against a team with a worse away record than us who couldn't manage a shot on target. So basically he's done alright for 2 games but any team with him in the starting 11 has major concerns. Aka he's wank.

Great game Shotts. Our first choice right back now for sure That spells relegation in the long run far more than keeping Pulis.

I really like Shotts at right back! Do we really need a new one there? I think a right winger and a striker must be the priority now!

Much better than Geoff Cameron, who is starting to worry me. Started off the season OK, but has become really sloppy. Doesn't get on with TP. is always arguing with him in training.

Under the circumstances Shotts has had a very good season. Excellent today. Would agree I think he needs to play at right back week in week and he will improve with experience But he shouldn't be any where near the wing

Shotton is a good full back, which is impressive considering he's naturally a central defender.
On the wing, he's poor, but that isn't his fault. He plays in the position he's told to play in.
Again, I thought he was excellent today at full back.
