I agree that we need something to happen. Linking to DiCanio is a mistake, he has achieved nothing yet. But, we need to find at least 3 pts from our remaining 5 games to stand any chance of staying up, where are those points coming from.
If Pulis has to go to give us those points, then so be it. What else can we do? What else can we change?

Pulis out now

What's Di Canio done? He's won one game, that's all. It's not just won one game though is it, he won one game 3-0 AWAY from home against their biggest rival. That is a massive win. The team will be full of confidence now, ours has none. I'm dreading us going to their place more than I was under MON. I don't see how we'll get anything unless we remove Pulis.

PULIS OUT what have we got to lose we not winning games now with pulis, so get rid now and find someone quick and hopefully a change of manager now might even cheer the players up and hopefully win the last few games as i reckon they want him out too thats why they are probably under performing as they get treated like children telling them how to play, (they are professional football players pulis they no what to do so cut there strings and let them play and play them in there right positions, but while we got this stubborn person in charge he will not listen to any info from anyone cause he is the MANAGER and if any of the players are not happy with something and they tell him well THEY DONT PLAY AGAIN FOR AGES OR NEVER AGAIN pulis you say you want the best for this club well PLEASE do the right thing and FUCKOFF NOW

I just can't see it happening, think Coates is gonna stick with him even if it means relegation. Maybe in the summer they'll part ways because if he does stay and we're playing this shit, there is gonna be a lot of angry fans. Just hope and pray we don't see the scenes we saw after the 7-0 drubbing by Birmingham

The stats are comically bad - it would be interesting to know if any manager ever has kept their job longer with worse results, can someone look this up (eg that database guy who did the results after manager change stats)? Guess usually there's a relegation first, won't be long though! Iceberg ahead Captain

The fact that we are praying for a win, a draw or even a fucking goal is shambolic. 9 goals away all season and 19 at home. Even Carshalton Athletic, bottom of the Isthmian League have scored more goals than us!!.
He should of been gone a long time ago, however, there is still time tor rectify it if he goes now and a new manager comes in, grabs a point at QPR and a win versus Norwich.
Have some balls Coates, time too ditch your capped surrogate son.
PULIS OUT!!!!!!!!

It's too late for a new manager, even if that was the correct thing to do, which I think it isn't. The fact that Stoke have had such a bad run has instilled fear into the minds of most supporters. The fear is creating panic and making otherwise sane people make hasty and ill thought through recommendations. Hopefully Peter Coates, as a successful businessman, does not panic and allows Tony Pulis the chance to sort this out. The best chance of avoiding relegation is to stay with Pulis, in fact any other decision would, in my view, be a disaster. Those people calling for a new manager and pressuring Coates to take a rushed decision could inflict serious harm on Stoke City. By the way I don't expect anyone to agree, but that does not make my view wrong.

How is it a 'rushed' decision given that the team's won 21% of its games since the start of last year and is the lowest scoring team in England for a second consecutive season, despite last season seeing £14m spent on strikers and this season seeing £12m spent on midfield players?

I can't believe that Coates is still persisting with Pulis. Any other manager with his dismal record over the last 18 months would have been gone long ago, never mind the appalling run of results since New Year. The lack of action from the Board is really worrying as they seem to be either almost just accepting the fact that we are going down, or they do still believe Pulis' rhetoric that he will keep us up.
There are absolutely NO SIGNS whatsoever that our "luck" is going to change, and apart from having lost the majority of the fans, he seems to have lost the vast majority of the players as well. The best chance of avoiding relegation is to have a fresh approach rather than the tried and failed Pulis way.
Coates need to show some guts and get rid of Pulis NOW - we can't be in a worse position even if we do bring another manager (any other manager ) !
PULIS OUT !!

In my opinion Rob, whatever the right and wrongs of the Pulis issue, you cannot sack the manager with five games left. The idea a new man could sort things in a few weeks is flawed, or at least hugely risky. The fact is that any team managed by Tony Pulis gives few goals away, that is why I think Stoke will stay up, even if it is by five draws.

We've kept precisely one clean sheet in the league since Boxing Day.
I don't understand how Coates would be making a 'rushed' decision to get rid now?
Sunderland getting rid of their manager seems to have given them a massive kick up the backside. Stoke on the other hand are sleepwalking to relegation. How could anyone do any worse as it stands?

The fact is also that any team managed by Tony Pulis scores very few goals (if any), and that is why I think Stoke will be relegated - we can't keep clean sheets anymore, and we can't score.

Even forgetting for one minute your use of racist abuse, you're a complete tool with the personality of a corpse anyway
