Not to disparage a player who is obviously an all-time great but...after the the top 7 or 8 teams doesn't La Liga get a bit ordinary? Wilko would probably get double figures over there. It will certainly be interesting to see how Bale does against the same opposition.

No matter what team in what division...that is some absolutely fantastic achievement.

I'd take Ronaldo over Messi. I really do believe as good as Messi is, he's helped by a seriously sensational team. Ronaldo however is Real Madrid. He carries them at times.

Messi or ronaldo will always be behind pele and maradona, so the best ever nope. Also i don't get the fuss about the la liga record, he has played for Barcelona his entire career plus played for one of the best club sides ever with some of the best players.

Ronaldo is to Messi as Nadal is to Federer. In other words, if you think Ronaldo's better, you're a fucking idiot.

I don't buy it at an international level. They have some great forwards admittedly but their defence and goalkeepers are woeful. But what's that got to do with anything? He's at Barcelona for a reason, like Ronaldo was at Man Yoo and is at Real Madrid for a reason. You could say that about Pele. He wouldn't have won those World Cups if he was playing for San Marino. It's just a fucking stupid argument!

As for messi partly why he he scored so many goals is down to the greatness of that Barcelona team and the style they played.

Together they'd probably make a really good side tbh. And Ronaldo has always played in shit teams. It's not like he was at Man Yoo with Tevez, Rooney, Berbatov, Scholes and Giggs or Real Madrid with those mentioned above and Xabi Alonso who I'd forgotten about. It just doesn't wash. You make it sound like Ronaldo has been playing for Stoke all of his life and has had to feed off the service of Dave Brammer.
