Bottom up, I'd say:
QPR Reading Stoke City
Pressure is mounting with every game and we ain't getting the luck needed at the moment.

I've got no idea anymore!!
Reading are probably the only team I can say are pretty much guaranteed
Can Wigan do it again? (I do like Martinez) Is Harry going to do it? Are Southampton or Sunderland going to get dragged in?
I just don't know anymore!!!

I can see Sunderland getting sucked into it. Its going to be incredibly tight. Incredibly. Sunderland have a massive game next week against Norwich at home and they have a massive game at home to us. We have some huge games of our own coming up against Villa, Norwich, Sunderland and possibly even at Southampton on the last day. Right now I think TP would take a point against West Brom. Literally anyone from 10th downwards is still in the shit. What frustrates me more than anything is that after 5 years and a shit load of money ..we are still talking about getting to 40 points whilst playing absolutely dour football on a weekly basis.

There are a lot of 6 pointer matches in the run in and I believe we are involved in at least a couple in there. Ideally we want 3 of the bottom 5 (at the moment) to lose of at least draw the remainder of their games as this will maintain some kind of "buffer" for us.
We need to get at least 6 points imo opinion, whether they come from WBA this saturday or Man Utd later in the season or anywhere that is the priority.
Yes we need a solid defence but WE NEED TO SCORE GOALS!. I would rather see an extra forward on the pitch, using our subs to maximise the extra work needed in midfield!
It's easy to manage from the relative comfort of the stands?, surely in this weeks training there needs to be a massive emphasis on attacking play and getting the ball in the net!!!!
Deep breath for saturday

If we don't beat West Brom on Saturday I really fear it will be us.
There are no goals, no creativity and/or no character in this team and that is all the hallmarks of a team that is doomed.

I think 37 points will be enough. Also our goal difference is worth a point.
We will stay up but this is a debate we shouldn't be having

37 looks a long way off at the moment.
Until we actually record a 3-pointer, you'd have to say we're very much in it, with the knock-on confidence spiral that we're in.
Obviously next week is one of the 3 prime chances, and to what degree we're really in the fight come May will be dependent on the WBA, Norwich and Villa games.
I think we could need to win two of them to avoid going into May in brown pants mode.

Your last sentence there sums up exactly how I feel. There is an almost endless list of other teams that have suffered this fate in recent years - we all know the ones, it is when the pundits and journalists say "I never thought xxxx would actually slip this far and go down!". Hope to fuck it is not us this year, but can't help having this nagging fear in the back of my mind

The tables they had on MOTD2 from previous years showed that it's extremely unlikely anyone outside the bottom 6 at this stage of the season will go down, especially with a points gap like ours.
We might even get away with it if we can find one more win and even if we continue playing as we have been I can see us sneaking past at least one of West Brom, Villa or Norwich at home.
Redknapp said on Friday that if he was offered 37 points he'd take his chances. With all the 6 pointers between teams on 30 points or less we might only need 36 or 37 to stay up; albeit that would represent a quite shocking drop-off in form in the second half of the season.
Beat the Baggies and we're as good as safe. Dispense with TP in the most humane way possible (massive axe) and get the new man in by June 1st.

Let's say we get the requisite 6 more points to stay up and nothing more (whether it's 6 bloody draws I don't care). And then let's take a long hard look at our form since the beginning of the year. Is that enough ammo to shoot down Pulis with and, if so, will Coates take aim? I have my doubts....

I still maintain QPR will go, as much as I rate Redknapp. Reading and Villa or Blunderland to go with them.

I think 37 points will be enough. Also our goal difference is worth a point. We will stay up but this is a debate we shouldn't be having Yes goal difference could be very decisive - we have Bego (+ Huth and Shawcross) to thank for the goals against column but alas no one to praise for the goals for column!!! Maybe Bego and 10 forwards ?

We're going to be a lot lower than is comfortable and I think we'll only be a couple of points away from relegation but I can't see us going down. As bad as we are doing there are still 4 or 5 teams that have to do better than us over the next 10 games and oh, hang on a a minute........shit

Andrew, where do you see our points coming from? The Baggies? Against a stronger-looking Villa? Norwich? If we can't get at least 5 points out of those three home games we'll still be in the brown stuff and my planned trip to St Marys at the end of the season might not be as pleasurable as anticipated.

We have over a quarter of the season to pick up 6/7 points. If we fail to do that we have a piss poor manager, a piss poor coaching staff and a set of gutless wankers playing for us.
How anyone can seriously talk about relegation just goes to show what a state we are in as a club. I've been banging on about his football and transfer policies for ages - chickens are coming home to roost.

He will drag 4 or 5 points from somewhere. Turgidly obviously, but that will be enough, I don't know where from but I reckon he will. H
