I have far too much respect for our club than encourage chants to get rid of the puddled one, but they were there in block 21 today loud and clear!

Has anybody mentioned the 2 blokes that made a PULIS OUT banner and held it up at half time in the south stand? To be honest the reaction was a sharp rebuttal from a large section towards the back of the stand, boo's ringing out and some choice words until they sheepishly curled it back up and disappeared into the concourse.
It surprised me because there was plenty of sharp criticism for Pulis on an individual level all around me but like some have already said I think most people aren't ready for the supporter-manager stand off just yet. More performances like that though and it will get much worse very quickly.

It must have been block 19 and just sounded like chants of "Pout, Pout". Block 19 were actually singing Tony Pulis Barmy Army. No fooker else joined in. Yeah, didn't they try a couple of times but failed miserably .

I don't think people want or expect him out yet. As the season draws to a close they won't expect him to be a offered a new deal unless we turn a quite dramatic corner. Isn't he on a yearly rolling contract so he doesn't have to renew?

It doesnt matter what Pulis has done for Stoke ie FA cup final, europa league, getting us in the prem because at this present moment Pulis is sucking the life out of club and has lost the respect of the team and its supporters. I do hope we don't get relegated, obviously, but my numbness towards Stoke doesn't give a flying fook if we loose every game til the end of the season, for the simple fact that Coates has to see that Pulis is inept and incapable of taking Stoke to the "next level". If he doesnt go before the end of the season he surly must go before the beginning of the next.. HOW MUCH LONGER MUST WE ENDURE THIS TYPE OF SHIT MANAGEMENT?!!!

Our next home game is West Brom which is most definately a must win. I dread to think of the reaction if we put in a similar performance to yesterday

Could it be something to do with the fact that the majority of the keyboard warriors (that this forum seems to perpetuate) stirring up the nastiness give a totally false perspective to the reality of the situation among proper supporters who really know the score? That is, Pulis is a legend, who has taken us to an FA Cup Final (and semi) and the Europa League, and cemented our Premier League status. I agree - however the vast majority of fans are getting frustrated by what is being served up at the moment, but do not want a change in Manager, but more a change in the way we approach games. I posted many moons back about the representation of Stoke fans on this board. At best you can have an average of 200 people logged in, out of those you have some who have thousands of post to their name . Even if we said 3/4 were Pulis out posters, that is 150 people out of an average gate of 26K. It is a minority who actually want Pulis out hence no chanting. But I cannot disagree we are getting frustrated with this bad run of form and the lack of idea on how to turn it round. But changing a manager at this stage would be like self harming! One other observation from yesterday, want are some fans thinking when players like Walters or Whelan get subbed? What good does it do anyone cheering like we had just scored? They are Stoke players, the transfer widow is shut! They will be the ones out in the Stoke shirt next week (hopefully doing there best for us) but Stoke fans, lets kick our own while we are down!. It serve no purpose whatsoever but confirmed in my mind that we are becoming a bunch of shite fans, from a bunch who fought in a siege mentality to those now with knifes out looking to stab their own at the earliest sign of tough times.

Think most fans would like him to step down at the end of the season. If you like the bloke or not? He deserves to walk away, than be sacked in my opinion. Absolutely. He deserves respect. I want him gone though.

I cant understand how the anger and disgust against Pulis didnt get a chorus of Pulis Out today, confused as hell why it wasnt echoing around the ground Probably something to do with the lack of anger and disgust. Sorry. Try Chelski.

Jonnyd, Ely is right - its statistically enough of a sample to draw a 95% confidence interval from (not that 95% of fans want TP out), but that the majority would. Not picking, just saying that it is valid.

There were some Pulis Out chants from sections of the boothen towards the end of the match. It must have been block 19 and just sounded like chants of "Pout, Pout". It was a widely spread and heart felt as the Tony Pulis Barmy Army song has been belted out all these years then? ;D ;D

The most telling indictment of Tony Pulis' popularity was a) the reaction of those behind the dug out when he warmly embraced Walters on subbing him and the chorus of boo's at the end of the game, followed by applause for every one of the players who walked up to the half way line to clap the fans.
There is absolutely no question as to where the bulk of the 24,000 home supporters lay the blame for Saturday's performance and it is fairly as squarely on the idiot in the baseball cap.
I was fairly certain that dinosaurs were extinct but there was two of them on the touchline yesterday, 3 if you include Kempo!

The point I was making was that 3/4 of 26k is not 150, that's all, I don't feel in any way superior because it's very simple.

Maybe some fans are keeping quiet for the good of the club, as Pulis out chants are not really going help. Like it or not he's the manger and we need stay in the premiership.

I cant understand how the anger and disgust against Pulis didnt get a chorus of Pulis Out today, confused as hell why it wasnt echoing around the ground Because match days are not the days to call for him to go, it is negative and will affect the players, take a hint from Blackburn. There are other ways of doing it. It would be a miracle if he hasn't already realised that the momentum against him is gathering and increasing. He knows and most importantly so does Coates.

Can't understand people asking for dodgy 'arry. After his time at Southampton they went into freefall, look at Portsmouth, if he doesn't pull it off at QPR they could be deep shit financially, Tottenham got shot and doing OK since, even West Ham got rid. Sure he'll get some good players in, the style of football would be nice while it lasts. He may well have be OK at England where there are no financial implications. Nice football for 12 months possibly followed by oblivion or boring football whilst we consolidate ans secure a future?
