Last time I saw him, he was getting into a fight (literally) with another OAP at a reserves match over a fucking offside decision.

LEGEND. Inspired Peter Tersons play Zigger Zagger, and in the late 60's there was a BBC series to find Britains "biggest" football fan. I seem to recall he was in the final 6. Won by a Bristol Rovers fan who had travelled thousands of miles following his club, I think.

Still his cheerful self at Fulham. Once went every reserve game, one season, even away at places like Chesterfield and Grimsby. Now that's what I call support.

This man is a true Stoke legend. He needs to be encouraged to train Zigger Zagger II.

He was on our Valencia bus driving from Trentham Rugby Club to The Mestella and back. At his grand old age that is good going!

It's not just football in the shape of SCFC that John is keen on.
He turns up at wherever Staffordshire is playing (in this case cricket). I met him in Newcastle upon Tyne when Staffs were playing N/umberland.
Being a Zigger Zagger is what John's all about.
Living, believing and what and you think about life. Thanks for the example, John.

You'd think he would have bought some gloves by now, he always seems to have cold hands?

Won by a Bristol Rovers fan who had travelled thousands of miles following his club, I think. That Bristol Rovers fan was Gordon Bennett who was working at Stoke as head of youth development, (I think that was his title) not that long ago. I think he left to join Plymouth Argyle along with Mike Pejic when Ian Holloway was their manager. BM

Plus the guy who used to blow a bugle: all of a sudden there was a 'toot, toot - toot toot toot - toot toot toot toot.......' and the crowd yelled CI--TY! We really need both the above back....... but please, NO DRUM - EVER! [/size] ;D

Interesting, Bristol Mick. Maybe as fans we should have more awareness of the fascinating people who have worked for, supported or been involved with our club.

Sound guy, I remembering him being on the same coach when we went to Ajax in '74.
I also met up with him a couple of times enjoying some corporate hospitality in a box at The Hawthorns courtesy of some well heeled baggies mates.
Not a prawn sandwich in sight but as we weren't supposed to drink whilst the game was on there were two teapots, one for lager and the other for bitter, all seemed well to Plod CCTV.

Great character. On an away game to Southampton in mid 60's we were losing and up came a chant of "dirtry dockers" amongst some Stoke fans - next thing he told them all to shut the fuck up as he had some close affiliation to dockers - or so someone said! And they all shut up - respect
