It won't matter who comes into the side whilst TP is the manager because he will always play the same way especially away from home.

Have a look at the comments from Higgy:-
But when you go away from home, the onus is very much on the other team and if they got the early lead, it was difficult for us to get back into the match because we were very much a defensive team away from home, one that would look to hold what we had and maybe get one on the break or from a set-piece.
That was all well and good then in the early days because we were punching above our weight and I don't really recall coming back and getting many results after going behind, especially away from home.
Times have changed now, though, and as well as having a workman-like team, Stoke also have an abundance of match winners now.
While there were places where we used to go and get beat in the past, you would be thinking they can go there now and get at least a point.
People always say an away point in the Premier League is a good point, but I believe Stoke are better than that now and I'm sure it's something they will have talked about trying to rectify.
I put this on another thread but it appears more appropriate here. Not my words above .. Danny Higginbotham in the Sentinel

Im thoroughly unhappy with Pulis and want him out. My facebook page is awash with similar thoughts. All seem to be saying they will renew but thats shows conentment. How exactly do we show our discontent. How do we get our unhappiness across without hurting the club.
Shall we start a collection for the 1st one to spray pulis out on the A500 wall.It worked with Mick Mills lol.

WHat about the philosophy that now permeates through the whole club?
How does this help with the future?
Man City U 21's review
The visitors were yet to register a point in 2013, so it was unsurprising to see that the pattern was set early in this game, with the Potters content to keep two resolute banks of four in front of their penalty area, challenging City to break them down.
City dominated possession in the early stages but found chances hard to come by as Stoke’s trio of terriers Heneghan, Ward and Sanders marshalled the menacing quintet of Suarez, Pozo, Lopes, Rusnak and Cole with distinction.
Anyone present familiar with the rugged playing style of Stoke’s first-team would have instantly recognised that it’s a philosophy that extends down the age-groups.
This physical approach clearly irked members of the City team at times and on one occasion Suarez received a lengthy talking to from referee Phil Dermot

How embarrassing was it to listen to Pulis yesterday, telling a footballer to pick the ball up for a throw in!! Control freak. Read the posting about give me back my club, its perfect.
Also I am a big Huth fan, but how many times does he have to assault a player before Pulis stops it?
It must be down to the manager

Tony Pulis has ripped the heart out of the bulk of our support now. Thats why the atmosphere has gone,we need a change, something new to get behind. Unfortunately i think only relegation would cause this change.Something none of us want. Catch 22 im afraid.
Thanks for the memories Tony, now shut the door on the way out.

ReFergie - because he adapts
Early years you two the line or else (see Pulis). But he undertsands now that the modern footballer has to be handled differently
An owd fella like Fergie can change his spots, but a bloke in a shell suit and cap cant - bottom line

What should the team be against West Ham? Bego Wilson, Ryan, Huth, Cameron Kightly (pennant), Nzonzi, Adam, Etherington Owen, Jones The team I would like to see as a change as apposed to what it will be!

Pulis doesn't care what the fans think, he never has And that's the problem! We pay our money and as a bare minimum are entitled to be entertained. We have the players to play a decent attacking formation and really take the game to the opposition and I can't see any argument against that.

Guys I went yesterday and can confirm how Fulham were there for the taking. There was NO atmosphere generated by the home fans whatsoever so no excuses for not having a right good go at them. My point point is there was zero service for any of the strikers, no one seems able to either win or deliver a decent set piece (Jermain Pennant is hugely missed) and the laughable big puint up from Shawcross to Crouch when Brede Hangeland is playing is tactically naive to say the least.
All in all it was a pretty appalling day only lightened by some of the singing by the Stokies celebrating some of our former heroes from days gone by in a turgid first half.
And that for me somes it up - no more heroes anymore !

You can hear TP micro managing, it was interesting when Bego wanted to go up and was told not to, he made a gesture to the bench. Trust the players more and they might perform, they seem afraid to put a foot wrong.
