He was a real dirty player I seem to remember, a pretty nasty piece of work all round.

He was a hard nut and came out of that Revie culture of general nastiness. But he wasn't the only dirty player around, there was a fair few, our own manager would fall into that category too, though his career never hit the heights of Yorath.
Yorath seems like a decent bloke though, and from my experience of meeting a lot of footballers off the pitch in the 70's and 80's it was often the case that unsavoury players on the pitch were often decent off it, and vice versa too. I've met some right arses who seem likeable on the pitch.
