Anyone else quite enjoying this?
And Baines' hairstyle matches his shirt. When he's on the screen I feel like it should be in black and white.

Got to hear what Durham says tomorrow. All the newspapers as well slated Ryan. That fat arse Martin Samuel. You can bet Cahill won't get slated half as much as they did to Ryan.

Hope we dont have to hear "its our time" or "new golden generation" please! The sun, star and mirror need to not print after an england game.

He'd be ideal for them, Scholes out, Lampard in. Great business.

Brazil are shite, but this score line flatters us. Brazil could and should be out of sight by now.

Not doubt the media will wanking furiously over this but let's face it Brazil are hardly among the footballing elite any more. Brazil have been poor tonight but still could have won the game quite easily. The footballing elite these days are Spain and Germany. Finally Neymar is overrated and England are still shit as the back, Cahill being the main reason for this.

2-1 - cue the media jizzfest, and Cahill's mistake will no doubt be overlooked.
I reckon Woy won't select Ryan again no matter what mistakes the other current defenders make.

Let's face it Brazil have been living off the success of the 70's for 40 odd years.
Just as England have been since 66

This is what I mean about the perception of England. We've just beaten Brazil and everyone moans. I know it's only a friendly and all that, and I'd swap it for a win over Montenegro any day of the week but a victory over Brazil is to be treasured. They don't have the Harlem globetrotter thing of 1970 going on but they remain a true world power.

He basically said as much yesterday. Said that his "casting" for the World Cup was over and that he'd identified the set of players that were good enough. Unfortunately he seems to have written off Shawcross based on 20 minutes of football. Still think we'll struggle to qualify for the World Cup with the way Hogdson sets his team up, so Shawcross might get a look in from 2014.

I keep reading in today's Chelsea-sympathising London press that Cahill nearly "made amends" for giving a goal away, by going close to scoring at the other end.
No! We may as well pick Leon bloody Cort if we're going with that logic.
That's like a security guard failing to notice as thieves break into a building while he does a wordsearch and steal loads of office equipment, then upon realising his blunder attempting to "make amends" by washing all the windows and hoovering the carpet before the boss comes in at nine o'clock.
Your job was to make sure nothing got stolen. I don't care if you saved me money by doing some cleaning to make up for it. You're sacked.
I'm never hiring Cahill Security Firm again.

Horrendous by Cahill for their goal. Utterly shit. When opponents play the ball from the back Brazil have always dropped off. They trust their own (usual) technical superiority to 1 get the ball back and 2 use it well. Cahill played right into their hands.
