The "Wilson turn" is horrible to see when he plays, 9/10 it can lead to him losing the ball. He hardly ever loses the ball when he does it?? ^This. Admittedily Wilson may not be exceptional, but he's a steady performer at left back. One of the few players to exhibit anything like composure when in possession, can't quite understand the vitriol he elicits.

He won't be Stoke fit for months will he? 'Stoke fit' is a myth. The likes of Mama and Ric would be rushed back in to action asap. Your Tuncay's and Gudjohnsens of this world would take infinitely longer because the manager didn't rate them. Wilson, former winner of the much coveted 'managements player of the season' award will fall into the Mama category I'd imagine. Don't fall for Pulis' propaganda, 'Stoke fit' is a lie.

He won't start a game for another 3 weeks. He won't be on the bench on Saturday, he might be after the international break. We've got to muddle through somehow till then.

Should see a huge improvement in the squad when he returns, Cameron moving to a more comfortable slot at RB or even in CM with Wilko out at RB, his return should add some more balance to the side..
Admiteddly I fully expect him to be deployed and us still have Lassie on the Right, and Crouch Isolated up top because Charlie Adam ISN'T A PLAYER WHO PLAYS IN THE HOLE! >.<

"Cameron moving into a more comfortable RB position"
Forgive me here but by my reckoning, Cameron has played 2 games at left back, 1 and a half as part of a back 3, 2 and a half in midfield and the rest have all come at right back. That must mean that he has played 20 odd times at right back.
He hasn't looked comfortable, save for the odd game, in any position. He is a squad filler at best and one who is in much need of a rest.

Indeed Dave. Mind hes not the only one. We have very few players who are anything more than squad players. Huth, Shawcross and Begovic are probably the only players right now who deserve to be on the pitch. Walters and Whelan in particular have been absolutely abysmal recently and have no right to be on the teamsheet. As for Cameron...if we have to play him..i'd rather see him in a centre mid role. He at least has some mobility and "energy" in the words of TP, which is more than can be said of our other midfielders

I know - was being a bit sarky. Stoke fit is a state of mind rather than physical state!

He has looked more comfortable there than at LB and I see him as a better option that Shotton.. I do agree with the CM point, he looked much brighter there when we played the 3-5-2 against Wigan, with Adam looking better than he has ever done.

We have definitely missed him, if only for the fact we've got nobody else who can even do a half decent job there
