He was class I remember him scoring at the Boothen End v Bristol Rovers at the Vic in a 2-2 draw around 1977. 10k in attendance.....funny how certain things stay in the mind

Another one you've got wrong. ;D I think were 2-0 up in that game and they got it back to 2-2 before Kendall scored the winner with a pen. There was slow hand-clapping from the Stoke fans who were pissed off with our performance...Bristol Rovers had lost 9-0 at Tottenham a few weeks before!

he was class, oozed it in fact. I have a bloody dreadful memory so I cant remember who we played on this paticular occasion. but the vic pitch was really heavy, in fact not far short of waterlogged. Howard glided over that dreadful surface had a great game, and scored to boot.

Remember that Preston goal as well- TC cross.
I remember Kendall scoring a free kick in a 4-0 win v Sheff U. One of Roger Jones' first games for us. Also remember him catching a guy in the Stoke End of the ground with a piledriver that sent the poor fan on his backside

Kendall was indeed class. Alec Lindsay wasn't.
