i'm talking about about the position in the pecking order of football in this country taking into account, your spends in the transfer market v league position and performances and the correct position in the overall scheme of things ie: do you think you should be a]top 4 [CL candidates] b]5-8 fighting for E.League places c] mid table d] bottom half but not relegation material e] potential relegation candidates not taking the Michael but asking a serious question as with the differing opinions about pullis and his style of play despite your decent league position leaves me baffled as to where you think you should be

With the money that has been spent 5th-8th should be a realistic expectation.

I think that our squad is strong enough for a top ten finish if the manager let them off the leash more often. Thought we missed Charlie Adam yesterday, without him we just didn't have enough creativity.

B Where we should aim with what we have. But we dont.......we aim for 40 points I said should. I agree Tone aims for 40 and he always will. What we have to hope is he builds a side good enough to get to 40 and then add another 20.

Hoy dont be so bloody stern My concerns are that he will only ever build a side that will get us 40 points foxy Rightly or wrongly I dont think he is interested in anything over and above that?

Currently we are D Should be C Aiming for B
That's not based on actual league position, more based on how we prepare and go about our business

It's TP in a nutshell. What makes him great also makes him a liability in some ways.

It's comedy hour again ;D ;D ;D It is, you're here ;D In answer to the question, C and D, with maybe the odd season where we may have a stab at B (Fulham did it, on a one-off basis). Sorry to bust some myths, but people who aren't happy with TP aren't expecting a Champions League tilt, we just think midtable can be acheived with less attritional garbage than yesterday. Especially as we have some good footballers at the club.

C with the potential for the lower end of B. And a cup run.

How many points did Stoke get when Pulis got us promoted to the Prem? He should have been fired - missing his target so badly!

C with the potential for the lower end of B. And a cup run. This realistically , but if the investment continues at the current rate it's got to be a B !

10th or above should be the aim.
Money spent doesn't have a big a bearing on where I think we'll finish as a lot of others neglect the fact that we've been playing catch up to the more established Prem clubs.
Aside from spending on transfers, there are more than 12 clubs that bring in more revenue than us through gate receipts, etc and the majority of clubs that pay more than us in wages.
Cups are a lottery so I don't have any high expectations there. The last 16 or beyond is decent. Beating any team from a lower division is an expectation.
We need to get the attack working properly and start scoring more goals as we're not going to be able to rely on our defence for the whole season.
